After Ben's flight took off, Mark went back to his apartment. Later in the evening, he called Alan and told him about Ben's medical leave. He also wished for the faster recovery for Rui. But, that's all he did.
Next day, he woke up and went for a morning run. Then, he got ready and left for college. After all the classes were done for the day, he went back to the hospital and saw Rui still lying unconscious. Then, he had a normal chat with Rui's father. All this was perfunctory to him. He was called frost prince for a reason. With the cold attitude, absence of empathy and an indifference for everyone, Mark hardly cared for anybody else. In his life, the only people that mattered were Ben and his mothers. And then there was Alan, the object of his newfound curiosity.
His main motive for coming here was Alan. At first, Mark wanted to recruit Alan as one of his men, so that he could feel a little more relaxed under his father's scrutinising gaze. However, after the last encounter with the Rhodens, he was amazed how cunning Alan was. His mind was quick and sharp like a katana that could cut through any object or scheme. Mark was mesmerized by this omega. More than that, he respected him, he wanted to learn from Alan. Maybe if he spent some hours with him, some of his persona will rub off on him. So here he was, with his goal of the day, to find Alan and spent time with him. This was the first time Mark ever admired someone other than his brother.
He left the hospital and went to the parking lot. Alan was not there. Then, he searched in nearby restaurants, he wasn't there as well. After searching thoroughly, he decided to call Alan.
" Hey Alan, where are you?" He asked as soon as the other side picked up.
" I am at the hospital. Why are you panting?" Alan was on the other end, holding on to his laptop and searching through some important files.
" Really? I am at the hospital as well but I can't find you. Alan be honest with me, Where are you?" Mark asked in a polite tone.
" Mmm.. alright! Just promise me you will not overreact." Alan replied.
" Okay. I won't. Now tell me where are you?" Mark asked again.
" I am inside the Rhodens house." Alan whispered.
" What?!" Mark shouted at the top of his lungs.
"You fucker! Shush! Shut up!" Alan whispered again.
" Why? Why? Just why the hell are you there?" Mark panicked.
" For a walk! Asshole! I told you not to overreact." Alan gnashed his teeth and whispered.
" Alright. I won't, but tell me why are you there?" Mark asked.
" Oh. That…I can't tell you right now. By the way, how is Rui?" Alan asked.
" Seriously Alan. You have the audacity to ask such question at this crucial moment. You wait for me. I will arrive there as soon as possible." Mark explained.
" You don't have to. I am sure I can manage it on my own. " Alan explained." I will see you later. Bye."
" But Alan…" before mark could speak, Alan hung up the phone. Mark immediately rushed to his car and drove to the Rhoden's house.
At Rhodens residence.
Ding dong.. ding dong…
Chris was sitting on the sofa and reading research papers when he heard the doorbell, " Who is it? Aunty can you please open the door?"
The housekeeper opened the door, " Young master, there is a friend of yours who came to see you."
Chris asked impatiently, " Who is it?"
" It's Master Richards. He wish to see you." The housekeeper replied.
Chris stood up in a shock, " You mean Mark?"
" Yes."
" That bastard dared to come here after doing all that to my father. I will kill him today." Chris stomped towards the front door. " You.. why are you here?" He scowled.
" To congratulate you." Mark grinned.
" Oh... what do you want to congratulate me for young master. For ruining my career or for taking away my father's job using your grandfather's influence. You fucker, you have screwed my whole life and now you want to congratulate me! Do you think I don't know that it was you who used your broadcasting channel to hype this case. Mark, do you believe that I won't kill you after what you have done to me." Chris said in an aggressively loud voice.
Mark stood there unfazed. Then he took two step forward and looked straight into his eyes," Chris, do you believe I would just watch when you will clearly try to fuck with my people. I had clearly announced it before, Rui and Alan are under my protection. But I guess you overlooked my warning. On top of that, you even got my brother involved. Tell me, how can I let you breath freely for a single day. I warned you once. And you know very well, I hate repeating myself." The cold gaze of those blue was too much. Chris felt chills down his spine.
" Under your protection? Ha Ha…Mark just stop being so pretentious. We both know, that girl named Rui is an elite omega, a perfect parent. Why are you acting all high and mighty? At the end, we both have same goal, to fuck her and have genetically superior kids." Chris smirked.
" Ha Ha Ha… oh Chris! You stupid fool. Get your mind out of the gutter." Mark took a deep breath. "Before I forget, congratulations. You are going to be a father." Mark took out a lollipop from his pocket, unwrapped it.
" What?" Chris jaw dropped. Mark took the chance and quickly inserted the lollipop in his mouth. He, then took out his phone and showed the footage to Chris.
" Shaziya, your main wife that you tortured and threw out of your home, is pregnant with your baby. Ha Ha Ha… Oh chris..it's triplets." He paused and smirked, " What are you thinking ' how in the world I have such powerful sperms?'. But you are wrong. The correct answer is...." Mark walked a little closer and whispered, " The Novak drug"
Chris stood there, dumb, as if he was stuck by lightning.
" Oh I love that expression." Mark cleared his throat, " Now that I have given you the good news, my work here is done. Also, your ex main wife is suing your household and guess who is her patron." Mark grinned and walked away.
Then he came back, " In case you are fool and still didn't notice. It's me." Mark giggled. " Bye Bye."
Mark went away unharmed and a shocked Chris still remained standing there like a statue. Mark got into his car and called Alan, " Where are you? I am right outside the Rhoden's house. Come out now!"
