Marcus wasn't sure why he'd responded to Ava with those words, but he felt it needed to be said.
Whether it was because of his wanting to keep his promise to Beatrice or because the man reminded him of his own family, he wasn't sure. Though the one thing he was sure of at this moment was that he no longer wished to continue fighting as he dismissed his [Spectral Scythe] and turned towards Ava.
Seeing this, Ava raised an eyebrow, as she awaited Marcus next actions.
"I'm not sure how you knew I was coming here but for now that doesn't matter."
As Marcus said this, he slowly made his way towards Ava while stepping over the two corpses of the guards he'd killed earlier.
Seeing this, Cyril also stepped forward in front of his sister, acting as some sort of a roadblock between Marcus and herself.
