Marcus sat there staring into Felicia's eyes not knowing what was what. It was usually easy for him to get his emotions under control, but at this very moment, he had no idea what it was he wanted or needed to do.
He felt like a lost kid again who was simply following his father through the forest.
'Dad...'
As Marcus's thoughts drifted to his family, his father in particular he started to feel an overwhelming since of longing. Just how long had it been since he'd seen his father and other loved ones?
Were they okay? What if something happened to them?
Hell, Marcus wasn't even sure if they'd survived the initial ambush since he was knocked unconscious before the fight between his father and the other masked man occurred. He soon found himself wallowing in his own despair and became doubtful of whether or not his family had even actually survived the encounter.
