Chapter 83 - Am I the Villain?

While I had been away my clones had been working non stop with their training just like I had been. I had a couple new tricks up my sleeve thanks to that. One of the tricks was that I could now use my magical heat vision without adding the heat and when heat wasn't added it did not burn and the beams didn't have any electric arcs or color, I could also use it very precisely and target specific things without affecting things that surrounded or were behind my target. Looking at the stuck up douche bag in front of me, I slyly sent a small beam of magic from my eyes towards his hair.

The man named Sean was objectively good looking, so of course his hair looked great as well. After firing off the small invisible shot of magic I threw my right hand up and started to walk away. "I don't have time for this, let's go Rob". I had no idea what my magical beams would do to his hair or how long it would take for a change to take effect, but I did know they wouldn't kill or harm him too much. When used without the heat, they were non lethal unless used against someone that is weak against magic and even then, it isn't necessarily lethal.

His hair color could change, it could grow, it could fall out, it could change into a hot dog, etc. I really had no idea what would happen, but I was very much looking forward to it.

"Wow Aeric, I didn't think you were the type to easily let things go, that's very mature of you". said Rob as he had started walking in front, taking us to the table with the dirty blonde he had just been talking to a second ago.

"I believe in karma" I replied. I wasn't lying, I am the product of karma so of course I believe in it. I just didn't want to wait for Sean to receive his, so I chose to take on the role of bad karma giver.

When we got to the table with the dirty blonde Rob had been talking to earlier, he quickly introduced us. "Aeric, this is Michelle, she's playing the role of Harmony. Michelle, this is Aeric, he's the pervert that will be the one feeling you up later".

Ah, of course. She even had certain similarities to the original actress for this movie. She wasn't her though. Same first name weirdly enough, but it for sure wasn't her. So far Robert was the only person I recognized from the original film.

As Michelle was about to say something, we all heard a horrid scream come out from one of main actors trailers on set. It was Sean's. Many people including the director Shane and our group rushed to his trailer wondering if he got hurt. Shane took the lead and knocked on the door. "Sean, is everything alright? If you don't answer, I'll have to come in".

Immediately Sean yelled from inside his trailer. "No, stay out there, I'll be out in a second". Although everyone was curious to what happened, it wasn't long after that a car pulled up nearby and Sean's agent came out of the car and went into the trailer. After a little while he came back out with Sean, only Sean had a jacket over his head as his agent helped him get into the back of the well tinted car.

They then drove away. Minutes later Shane received a call from Sean's agent saying they could no longer do the film. Sean was supposed to be playing the part of Gay Perry, which may have been a supporting role, but the role was a huge part of the movie. Shane quickly dialed up his backup's for the role and found out the two he had in mind if needed were both doing other projects already. Thinking quickly, he remembered an actor playing a lesser role that stood out to him. His role could be easily replaced. "Aeric, come here please".

Hearing my name get called by the director I made my way to him. "Yes?"

Director Shane sighed, clearly stressed. "Sean's agent got in touch with me and told me he won't be able to do the movie. Do you mind taking on the role of Gay Perry? It's a lot more work, but you will be paid the same as Sean would have been".

I wondered what had happened to his hair for him to rush out like that, maybe his hair really did turn green or something? "I will take on the role, if anything I'm honored. Id like to see the contract first of course, but other than that, since I have a photographic memory, I actually have the lines for that part already memorized anyway". I of course didn't have a photographic memory, but I did have script readers perfect recall which was very handy.

Shane couldn't believe his ears. Right after feeling like his movie was cursed from the start, a blessing had fallen into his lap. "That's great! Still, before we sign the contract, Id like to have you read for the part real quick. I don't doubt you will do great, but I need to know you will be good for the part".

I hadn't ever played a gay character before, but thankfully I remembered Val Kilmer who originally played Gay Perry hadn't played your typical flamboyant gay man. He took the masculine approach and threw in some sass here and there. It would still be somewhat of a challenge for me, but it was better than the alternative.

I went to the directors trailer and read my new lines as I tried to channel my inner Val Kilmer with a sprinkle of gay. Shane was extremely pleased with my reading. He had told me that Sean who had read the lines originally was a little too gay in his readings and it hadn't really fit with his original vision for the character, but it was something he had been willing to work with because nobody else had done the part as good as him, until me that is. He basically said the situation of Sean leaving was a blessing in disguise. I really wished Sean could hear this, but he's probably too busy crying his eyes out somewhere right now.

A week later Sean was photographed by paparazzi as he was reaching his hand out of his house door trying to grab a delivery. In the photo, Sean was now bald, his perfect and styled hair no longer anywhere to be seen. Many speculated that he cut his hair for a movie part, but only I knew that he probably could no longer grow hair anymore and it had probably started to fall out on that first day of filming. Maybe in the future, if he humbles himself a bit, I might hook him up with some watered down hair growth potion.
