The Vampire Scream Queen Nina seeing that her favorite Singer Prince Aeric was going to be performing with very short notice had used up all her savings to buy a last minute front row ticket.
She wanted to be as close to him as possible in hopes he would notice her and dance with her again. She knew it was loony to think it would happen twice, but she was still hopeful. She hadn't stopped thinking about that night ever since it happened. It had been the most magical night of both her lives.
When she arrived at the Concert merch area, she bought a t-shirt and two cd's in case one got damaged. She wanted to buy two LED bracelets, but was informed that she could only buy one. The redhead at the booth had told her that the bracelet's will work at any and every future show that Prince Aeric does.
Putting on the bracelet, it felt weightless and looked like it was made of crystal. It seemed like tech from out of this world. The bracelet started out fairly big, but when she had put it on, it shrank to fit her perfectly. She could still take it off, but it wouldn't slip off easily. It was such a weird item, but she was happy with such an accessory, vowing to never take it off.
Going to her seat she found herself seated next to a blonde who looked like she was there for the backstreet boys. The blonde seemed prim and proper and the opposite of Nina, so Nina chose to ignore her and take her seat. After all the seats were filled, the lights went out. With her vampire senses, she could see, but she was aware nobody else could.
Prince Aeric took a quick drink of what she assumed was water and then started to play the piano as he sang, shortly after his first verse a little girl that was glowing brightly appeared on the stage out of thin air.
🎶♪🎵But I won't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive🎶♪🎵
The sad lyrics of the song were more than just words, they were intertwined with longing and sorrow. As the little girl and Prince Aeric sang about the ordinary world they were in search of, Nina realized she was crying and quickly wiped away her tears. She looked at the blonde next to her expecting to see her laughing at her. only to find she was in a worse state than herself, it was like she related to the song on level nobody else understood. Nina seeing this gave the blonde a tissue she had in her purse where she kept her new cd's. The blonde gave her a smile and used the tissue.

Kara Kent's POV
****************
As she was listening to the song, Kara couldn't help but think of Krypton and all the friends and family she could never see again. She longed for what she considered her ordinary world often. She had long known that Prince Aeric wasn't human because her cousin had told her. She couldn't help but wonder if Prince Aeric had a situation similar to hers as she felt the sadness and longing behind his lyrics.
After the song ended, Prince Aeric moved onto the next song.
🎶♪🎵I've been reading books of old
The legends and the myths
Achilles and his gold
Hercules and his gifts
Green Lantern's control
And Batman with his fists
And clearly, I don't see myself upon that list
But she said, Where'd you wanna go?
How much you wanna risk?
I'm not looking for somebody with some superhuman gifts
Some superhero
Some fairy tale bliss
Just something I can turn to
Somebody I can kiss🎶♪🎵
She watched as he did a magic trick that she couldn't even see through as he changed costumes imitating Batman, Green Lantern, Superman, and other Hero's. The bracelet she had bought was changing color to fit each costume change as well.
Looking at Prince Aeric, the man was extremely attractive in a ruggish way. Even his angry looking resting bitch face was appealing in it's own way. With his masculine body and beautiful deep voice, he was very eye catching. He didn't need superpowers for her to find him attractive. She was happy with just his normal self.
As she was thinking this Prince Aeric gave a few people in the front row including herself a signed t-shirt. The way he gave it to her felt like it wasn't random and he had chosen to give her one specifically. His eyes had locked onto hers for a split second, giving her butterflies in her stomach.

Back to Nina's POV
****************
Nina watched as the pop song she had just been listening to had segwayed into a different kind of song and tone. The mashup was flawless as the instrumentals of the last song faded out and the new song faded in., at one point overlapping each other but sounding fluid and not remotely out of place.
Nina's old band could be described as a Death Metal band, but Death Metal in this world was not mainstream. If anything, Nina was a pioneer. So when she heard the following Death Metal song being sung at a mainstream concert, she was a bit surprised and excited.
🎶♪🎵I've been tryna call
I've been on my own for long enough
Maybe you can show me how to love, maybe
I'm going through withdrawals
You don't even have to do too much
You can turn me on with just a touch, baby🎶♪🎵
At some point in the song Nina watched as Prince Aleric riffed on his guitar and threw his head around in a circle, his long spikey black hair following it's path, hypnotizing her and the rest of the audience. She couldn't help but dance along, noticing the blonde beside her also dancing. She realized she had gotten this girl all wrong, she was a fan just like her.
After the song ended Prince Aeric announced he had one last song and thanked his fans that had come to see him on such short notice When he was done talking to the audience, it went quiet aside from the murmuring of the people in the crowd. It was once again dark and it had started to sprinkle. A raindrop or two had hit Nina's face.
Suddenly out of nowhere A huge burst of wind hit her, and the rest of the crowd, knocking some off their feet and onto their butts at the same time Prince Aeric screamed into the mic, his voice full of raw power.
🎶♪🎵LETTTTTTSSSSSSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!🎶♪🎵
The ghostly figures of himself played their instruments as he played the drums. He was a band made up of one person alone. Not only was this genre of music the first of it's kind in this world, but it was also the first time one person formed a band by himself, playing all the instruments at once and using strange unheard of technology.
She knew Prince Aeric was going to be a huge star one day, If not after tonight. Hearing the new Screamo music, she couldn't help but headbang along side the blonde next to her and the others near them. The bracelets the two had purchased lighting up their own personal spaces, the raindrops glowing as they fell down onto them. This was worth spending her savings on she thought as she looked up at her idol only to catch his eyes as they looked down at her. Her non beating heart started to move at his brief glance.
🎶♪🎵Would she hear me if I called her name?
Would she hold me if she knew my shame?
There's always something different going wrong
The path I walk's in the wrong direction
There's always someone fucking hanging on
Can anybody help me make things better?🎶♪🎵
As he screamed into the mic, Nina felt her mania grow more and more as she found herself once against entranced. Her obsession got worse with every song he sang. It was to the point that she craved him and his voice more than blood itself.
As the song wrapped up and the backstreet boys were about to come out, She got to know the blonde that was next to her a bit and even exchanged numbers. The girls name was Kara . It was nice having friends that shared the same interest. She now had someone to talk to about Prince Aeric and his music.
As the backstreet boys band started singing, Nina decided it was time to leave. She had no interest in boy bands. She said bye to Kara and then left.
