Chapter 136 - Endless yet needless worry

After laying out my plan in a way that everyone could understand, I looked around at the leagues faces. I could tell they were skeptical, but I was sure my plan would work.

Wally spoke out. "Hey, it's still a better idea than Batman sacrificing himself." Everyone around couldn't help but nod their head in agreement. I put my arm around Wally's shoulders. "It's so easy to get along with you Wally, You are truly the glue that keeps this league together."

Wally smiled big. "Aww shucks Moonlight, stop it, you're gonna make the others jealous." Looking at the other league members, I thought the only one that looked a little jealous was Superman. He had really convinced himself that we had bonded in the past.

"Let's get moving, the faster we get this over with the better, unlike you guys my Hero life comes second to my regular life. I want nothing more than to eat and sleep good and yet things seem to always get in the way of me living such a dream."

Batman who was taking off the top layer of his clothes revealing his bat costume underneath voiced his worries. "Are you sure you can do it on your own?"

I was pretty confident in my power these days and so I nodded. "As long as you guys do your part, I'll do mine."

The league members had all changed into their costumes and left once hearing my words. They were headed to the watchtower to reclaim it like Batman had originally planned. Only they wouldn't be crashing it into anything if they could help it. Them reclaiming the watchtower would not only act as a distraction, but if we ever needed to switch to plan b, it could still be an option.

I used the Moonlight coms and called everyone that was available to the throne room after the league had left. Not long after, my knights, disciples, and the girls aside from Hila arrived. Hila was pregnant and had been spending a lot of time in Atlantis with her sister during this time.

Looking at the people that followed me, I gave a smile before speaking. "Whisper, Scream, and Chucky, I will task you with watching my back tonight. As for my Knights, I need you guys to go get something for me. I'll give you the details in a second. As for the girls,, after I'm finished telling my Knights the details of their mission in private, we should talk.

Cosmic Starlight, Supergirl, and Scream Queen all had similar yet different expression on their face. They were curious and yet afraid of what I would say to them, but also hopeful. Pulling the Knights aside. I told them of the top secret plan that nobody else needed to know about and then I took the girls and led the way to my room to talk.

Once inside, I spoke bluntly. "I don't want you three to get involved anymore than you need to with this plan. Please stay at the castle until I get back."

They all three immediately protested my words. "You can't make us stay here without a good reason, we are just as strong if not stronger than the rest here." Supergirl who was the most vocal said with a frown.

I shook my head. "I know that, but Supergirl, have you asked Vegeta Zor-El about the future he comes from?"

Supergirl frowned. "Not really, he seemed hesitant to speak on it. He just told me that he was my son from the future and I had a dna test done to confirm it. So I just know the bare minimum really.." Her face started to burn pink as she talked.

It was understandable that Vegeta Zor-El didn't want to tell his mom of her tragic future, but I had no qualms on the matter. "Despite the fact Kara and Nina both have very long life spans due to their unique biology, all three of you as well as Hila are all dead in Vegeta Zor-El's future. Do you understand what I mean?"

"So what? we are just supposed to turn a blind eye to those in trouble? I knew long ago death was an option before I put on my mask and cape." said Cosmic Starlight before crossing her arms in front of her chest.

The other two nodded in agreement as Nina stepped forward and talked as boldly as ever. "We are more than just some pretty birds to keep locked away in a cage. If you truly care about us like we do about you, you will let us do more than just share your bed, let us fight battles together as well. Don't do it all alone. We can help."

The other two nodded in agreement with her words before realizing what she had said and quickly lowered their heads in embarrassment. Supergirl and Cosmic Starlight were both too prideful to admit defeat in love and by nodding their heads they basically just admitted their feelings.

I chuckled. "Okay, if you three are to be my wives in the future alongside Hila and if you ever give birth to a prince or princess, you will need to promise to always be victorious in your fights and come home alive." I said this before looking at Nina and realizing what I said. "Well, come home as alive as you left."

Nina and the other two girls giggled. "Deal!" The three said together, Before Cosmic Starlight spoke up again. "Don't you think you are getting ahead of yourself though? We still haven't even had our date yet."

I raised my eyebrow. "Well, I'm not in a rush either, but I will no longer pretend I have no interest in your lives. Take care of yourselves, I don't want to see any of you die."

-=Somewhere in Star City=-

A pale skinned beautiful woman with deep dark black hair and heavy black eye shadow was walking down the street when she suddenly stopped. 'Maybe he shouldn't be a destruction candidate.' she thought. The man she was thinking about was constantly playing in her domain. The domain of death. Just like that, the souls of four people were now uncertain.

Sighing, she continued to walk. She had lots of work to do today, at least that hadn't changed.
