Chapter 125 - Preparation

The first thing I did when I got back home was upgrade the prison for 20,000c. A large prison was usually 25,000c but since I had already paid 5,000 in the past for a small one, it had been subtracted from the cost when I upgraded it. The prison could now hold one hundred inmates.

The thing about invasions is that well... people invaded places. I planned to capture every single Thanagarian that wished to do harm to my city or my people. I would then strip each Thanagarian of their items and armor each time I collected fifty of them and then teleport them to Warworld naked and defenseless. I didn't care what happened to them after that. My prison just wasn't for small fry.

After upgrading the prison, I purchased a second defense tower for 50,000c and placed it next to my store Champions Navi. After spending some coins, I was left with 80,000c from my original 150,000c

Having only one defense tower wasn't enough to keep up with numerous invaders that attacked the city and I had already planned to put one next to the store as a prevention to crime inside and outside the store anyway. With two towers, downtown Moonlight City would be the safest place in the world when the invasion starts, but I didn't stop there.

I had all the people that lived with me take shifts on patrolling the skies and streets where the towers could not reach. They didn't understand, but they soon would. After doing all of that, I told everyone to leave me alone for the next month. During this time the justice league would be helping the Thanagarians build different things in preparation for the Ganadorian invasion. In reality they will be helping the Thanagarians get ready to invade Earth. Truly devious little magic flies.

During this time I would be doing nothing but non stop training while one of my clones would be working on the movie 300 with Zach Snyder and others. Gerard Butler may or may not exist in this world, but I did some looking to find out he at least wasn't an actor here. If he was, I would gladly play a smaller part, because I honestly didn't think I could do a better job than him if I wanted. He was all but made for that role. I could only hope that I could do the iconic 'THIS. IS. SPARTAAAA' scene half as good as he did.

Of course this was all only if the reading went well, which I was sure it would be okay. While that clone was working on the movie 300, id have another clone do casting to help find people to take the parts in the Iron Man movie I had planned. I had already bought the original script a while ago and I saw no reason to change a single thing in it. The Iron Man movies were absolutely great how they were. If I changed anything, id be an idiot.

Since bands like AC/DC and Black Sabbath didn't exist here, I planned to sing those parts for the movie myself. I felt the soundtrack was such an important part of what made the Iron man's movie the success it was and I absolutely couldn't afford to have different songs replace them. Not only that, but this would also help my singing career greatly if the movie does as well as it did in my old world.

Having set everything up, I was just about to start my secluded training when I heard the usual robotic voice of the system in my head.

...

Quincy Jackson has just completed the Warrior Tower's Tutorial.

Would you like to have him teleported to your location?

...

'...ah' I was a little ashamed to admit that I had forgotten about him. I hadn't helped him with food or drink for a while now. Well, I guess all is good if he survived and completed the tutorial. "Yes, please teleport him here"

A beam of the systems orange light glowed in front of me before it went away leaving behind a small black child that was covered in dirt and blood while also missing his left eye. An empty socket with three claw marks above and under the socket was all that could be seen. The child was almost unrecognizable and seemed to have a dark aura about him that hadn't been there when he originally entered the tower.

The boy kneeled in front of me. "I have competed the mission given to me, have I done well?"

I would be lying if I said I didn't feel a little guilty in my heart looking at the completely changed kid in front of me, but at the same time, I was raising warriors and Quincy knew what he had signed up for no matter how young he was. Looking down at the war torn kid in front of me, I felt proud. "You did more than well. I see you have returned a man, no longer a boy. Don't worry about your missing eye, I'll build you a new one soon that will be better than the last."

After saying my piece I pulled out a Manhunter Baton and placed it on his left shoulder and tapped each before speaking. "You are my second Knight and the first of a select chosen that will work under the Head Knight Kryl. You have proven yourself through battle and nobody can say you don't deserve your spot. Please stand proudly Moonlight Knight Quincy Jackson."

Quincy stood up in front of me with a big smile. "Finally" He said before adding. "I didn't get a cool costume like Cosmic Starlight did while in the tower sadly, but I gained lots of power."

I smiled at his words. "Don't worry, I will make you a set of armor befitting a knight of your caliber when I make your eye. You will also be given your own room within my Castle and I will pay any expenses you may have including a company car of your choosing. The price does not matter. In the future you will be guarding the Teen Titans tower I plan to build that will house young Heroes that wish to prove themselves. You will also have the chance to take on missions with my Disciples from time to time. How does all of that sound to you?"

Quincy Jackson hadn't expected so much. If right now someone were to ask if enduring the towers tutorial was worth it, he would have no doubt that it was. "It sounds like a dream come true!"
