Entering the building, the shelves, clothing racks, and glass displays were all empty. It was hard to see because of how dark it was and the place was eerily quiet. You wouldn't think this store was about to have it's grand opening in less than an hour. The inside of the store had a similar theme to the outside of the store and was also made of mostly marble.
Osul immediately walked over to the counter and set it up to his liking. From today on this would be a shop that he managed completely. With him having the same powers as Superman, I wasn't very worried about leaving the store to him at all. Sure he wasn't as experienced or as powerful as Superman, but most still wouldn't be his match. Because this store wasn't made by the system, it was vulnerable aside from the security cams inside the store. It was a live feed that was automatically saved and stored on the Moonlight Computer which could give me more information later if I needed it. I also considered adding a defense tower beside the shop eventually.
Otho who had come in support of her brothers dream of becoming the best merchant in all of the cosmos watched as he moved around in glee. Supergirl had come along as well just because she was curious about the store and what items it would sell. She made her way to the light switch behind the counter and flipped it up. The overhead lights within the store all turned on and we could all finally see properly.
I had around 350,000c from my Dakota City Concert plus the small amount of coins I had before that I hadn't spent yet. I currently wasn't lacking in US currency either. I had spent quite a bit of regular money to have a number of Hero memorabilia manufactured specifically for my store which consisted of T-shirts, hoodies, shoes, and hats with different hero logos on them. I also had a number of action figures made of different heroes including myself. Somehow action figures of heroes in this world had gone greatly overlooked and it was an untapped market just waiting for someone to take advantage of. The greatest thing about it was the fact that Heroes couldn't sue me for using their image or logo because of their secret identities.
I used my actors wardrobe to add special effects to some of the Hero clothing items. For example I had a line of Martian clothing that changed colors. I even had a number of fake Hero weapons crafted that I added effects to like different colored lantern rings that could glow and project light. In case any Heroes had a problem with it, Id simply tell them that 10% of all sales go to different charities and it should shut them up.
Aside from the Hero Memorabilia, I also had a sign at the counter that took request on making Hero costumes and weapons for new and old Heroes. Depending on what they wanted, the price would vary. When making this shop I had Heroes in mind, but I also had powerless people that wanted to be more in mind as well. This was Moonlight City after all, we had the warriors tower. Anybody that was brave enough and was loyal to me could gain power.
Speaking of which, Barbara had been in the tower for quite some time and had gathered a lot of items that she had no use for and we were also selling those. I placed a pair of fingerless gloves on a shelf and then I hung a beautiful purple cape with a built in hood in a display case next to it. In the future this store would also buy tower items from people willing to sell or exchange things they got from the tower. Including monster by-products.
Having put all the items i spent real money on in their proper places, I opened my systems shop and bought a number of items including one charm potion for 10,000c, twenty permanent eye color changing potions for 500c each which were useless to me because I had the actors wardrobe, twenty permanent hair color changing potions which were also useless to me for 500c each, and lastly one actors mind clarity potion for 50,000c that was guaranteed to clear your mind and also get rid of bad thoughts that can cause stage fright for a new actor. Of course I didn't plan to advertise it as a product for actors though, I was going to sell it as a clarity potion that anyone could use.
I've learned one thing about my system and that is the higher the amount of coins, the more miraculous the product bought. I had no doubts that the actors mind clarity potion was top tier or even the other expensive items I had in the shop like the Magicians beginner magic set, the tiger tamers bravery potion, the acrobats quick reflexes potion, and even the ventriloquist dummy that made you the dummy. If it had to do with putting on a show, the system had it and so I had plenty to sell that would be interesting to people.
The higher amount of coins I spent on something, the higher amount of money I sold it for. My shop truly had something for everyone. After putting the magicians wand I just bought for 46,000c into the display case and putting the proper price tag below it, I was finished setting up the shop and when I looked around. I was happy with what I saw. A place of pure wonder and magic that could not be found anywhere else and I still had over 150,000c leftover that I hadn't spent. With everything in order, I made an announcement to the city.
"Citizens of Moonlight city, my shop Champions Navi is now open to the public. Because it is opening day some items will have a five percent discount for the next twenty four hours. The items in the shop vary in price and most of them are to aid old and new Heroes, but we also have something for regular citizens as well. Please feel free to bring your whole family. If you have entered the Warriors Tower before and have things you would like to sell, we will buy them from you in the form of store credit from now on. Also ten percent of the money this store earns each year will go to the charity most voted on by the public. Thief's beware, the store has top notch security and you will be caught if you steal something."
Most people in the city that heard the announcement could only think one thing. "Who would dare steal something from King Moonlights shop?" Within seconds of the announcement, there was a line to the door of the new store that stretched almost a mile long that continued to grow each second.
Osul could only gulp as he looked at the scene. "I may need a little help."
