The lawyer smiled at Melissa, looking at Secretary Arnold before nodding slightly.
The secretary gently pulled Melissa back to her seat. Offering another glass of water. The inspector was about to open his mouth to continue but Melanie stopped him.
Melissa's eyes slowly became unfocused. Her shaking body stilled. Within a few minutes, she dozed off. Melanie let her head rest in her lap while Secretary Arnold adjusted her posture so she could rest peacefully.
The inspector now becomes at a loss.
"Why did you…?"
The lawyer bowed in apology, "I'm sorry but any further discussion will crumble Melissa's mental state."
"Actually, Inspector we all know that Melissa wanted to kill Grandpa," Melanie confessed.
