"Sheila!, Aren't you done serving the first table? You have to be fast and attend to other tables!!" Mrs Mane voices echoed
"I will be done in a short time, ma!!" Sheila responded
Sheila Richmond is a young girl in her mid twenties. She lives with her parents and two young siblings in Los Angeles. She has been the one catering for her family since she came of age. She works in a big restaurant known around by models and popular people. Los Angeles and around many countries. Just to make sure her family eats well and her siblings go to school, Sheila toils day and night to earn money.
"Aren't you tired Sheila?, You have been working since morning" Kelly, her best friend working with her ask
"Am done with my table, let me help you"
"Do you want your boss to deduct your money?, you know how harsh she is" Sheila reprimanded
"Besides being on double shifts, morning and night, Don't worry about me, I will be fine," she assured Kelly.
Kelly had been her best friend, since she started working in the restaurant. She didn't want to mingle with friends because she had regretted one thing in her life, not saying a best friend who died in front of her. But Kelly was different, she was a sister and all she could wish to have.
"If you say so, am done with my shift so I would be leaving, bye"
At last, the day finally ends and Sheila was set to go home to her family
"Am done with my shift, Mrs Mane"
"Am sorry Sheila, but I can't give you a pay today, when you come to work tomorrow I would pay together" Mrs Mane said with a fake apologetic look
"Ok ma" Sheila responded and left
"She always has a sweet mouth anytime she doesn't want to pay, but when it comes to sending errands and shouting, she would mind!!" She muttered
"Huhh, another day of trekking back home" She uttered with a sigh
Her home was a little bit far from her workplace, but she doesn't mind as long as it would bring the money to care for her family.
"Finally! Thank goodness I didn't meet any pervert on the road!" she exclaimed immediately she got home. She lived in a small bungalow with her family, This was the home she knew since she was little.
"Mom! Dad! I'm home!" She yelled, but there wasn't any response. This was unlike her siblings, who would run out to come see if she brought back home any goodies.
"Ariana!! Mike!!" But there was still no response
"Why is everywhere dark?" She rhetorically asked
She made way to the light switch and flickered it on. She turned to go fully into the room, but what she saw gave her a shock.
Armed hefty men were in her home, one was sitting down on the sofa, and the most shocking sense was that they were all pointing guns at her parents and siblings.
"Sheila Richmond, you are finally home!" The man sitting on the sofa spoke first, he was in his late forties. She was still shocked that she didn't respond to his Ill greeting. Her parents were crying and pleading for mercy.
"Sheila!!" The man yelled, and she immediately turned to him, she looked closely at him, and tried to remember where she had seen his face before.
"Where have I seen him before?" She muttered to herself
"I know you would be trying to remember this face, but it wasn't mine but that of my son" he spoke in parable
"Your son?"
"Let me bring it down for you"
"Do you remember Becky Williams?" He asked of the name of the person she had forgotten a long Time ago " her best friend who died in front of her"
"How do you know her?"
"That question implies that you know her too, and I also know she died in your hands"
"She didn't die in my hands, I just couldn't save her!!" Sheila yelled, tears dropped as she remembered what happened three years ago
"Then you should also know Alex Smith" he said, almost like a question
"I regretted Becky ever doing something with him, I regretted why I didn't stop her from loving that son of a bitch!!" She yelled and cried the more
"What does this have to do with my family?" She asked
"That's because you are going to make a decision in front of them"
"What…"
"Firstly, that son of a bitch is my son!!" His voice echoed. Sheila felt heart broken washed off
"If he was his son, then he has to be the Mafia King" Sheila dropped down on her knees and begged for the life of that of hers and her family
"I don't have anything to do with this anymore, this happened three years ago, and it was Alex who killed her, I didn't, I came back and met her in that ugly situation already" Sheila explained
"Alex now only thinks of one person, which is Becky, you are the only person that knows what happened then, and you know more about Becky, so I want you to follow me back to the clan and act like Becky, get married to Alex" Mr Smith explained, his voice all sounded like a command.
"No way!! I can't possibly do that" Sheila yelled
"I can't get married to my enemy, he killed my best friend and you are asking me to marry him"
"My son is important!!"
"So am I not important to my parents and siblings" Sheila fired back.
"Then get ready to lose them!" He threatened
"It's either you die with your family or marry my son"
"Please!! I beg of you deal with me only and leave my family out of it" Sheila weeped and pleaded with both her hands palmed together. She looked at her family and they were all crying, her mother gave her a signal to decline the offer
"Death or Marriage!!!"
