"He must be home by now. I shouldn't disturb the poor man." Jade said as she glared at the phone in her hand.
She really wanted to call Mr Angus and scold him for giving her a BL Story to read.
"On second thought, it wasn't his fault. I didn't look before I took the book. All he did was bring out the new stocks." She agreed with herself and dropped the phone.
'what do I do after having dinner?' she thought and frowned at the books. The old looking book wasn't encouraging at all.
With the BL book she held firmly in her hand, she used the other hand to flip open the old looking book.
"Ishh! It reeks of olden days.. blrrh!" Jade exaggerated as she scrunched her face entirely into a disgusted look.
"I'm just going to have to manage this book. Hmph! Love In A Time Loop, my ass." She grunted.
Well, she definitely preferred a stupid old book over a newly released BL book so... She decided to read it.
Jade came out of her room with a towel on both hands, drying up her wet hair. With a long nightie dress, she charged towards the kitchen for a dinner hunt. She just took her shower.
She ransacked her refrigerator and kitchen cupboards. There was no single food item rather just drinks and chips.
"Ahh! Jade, you are such a forgetful ass." She cursed herself.
She recalled vividly how she wrote a list of items she would buy while returning from Mr Angus's bookstore. She totally forgot and it's already late.
"What do I do now? Do I just eat chips?"
Still contemplating, Jade heard a knock on her door.
"Who's that?" She asked audibly but, had a frown on her face. She wasn't expecting anyone and besides, she can't have any visitors now that her house is so empty.
"It's Nora!" The voice from outside the door came in a thunderous yell.
"Shit!" Jade cursed.
She rushed to the door and opened it.
"Hey, bestie." Nora called, pecking Jade on the cheek.
"You, crazy girl. Do you want to bring down this building? Yelling like I have no neighbors. Come in." Jade lectured her friend and afterwards she noticed Nora's hands were occupied.
"Yeah yeah. I got you some stuffs." Nora said, walking inside Jade's apartment carrying two big bags.
"Please tell me it's food." Jade groaned.
"What else?" Nora laughed and went straight into the kitchen.

(10:03pm
AFTER DINNER)
"What are you doing now?" Nora asked frowning upon seeing Jade flipping a page of a book.
"What else? My favorite thing of course." Jade mocking, taking a sit on the reading chair.
"No way! I hate books. Why do I have to get a best friend who loves them?" Nora whined which only earned a chuckle from Jade.
"Come on, it's not that bad. Try it."
"You say that all the time, Jade." Nora scoffed and walked towards Jade.
Nora's eyes glowed when she saw a book with a writing Jade hated.
"You now read BL?" Nora asked, resisting the urge to burst out in laughing.
"That's a mistake I made. I'd return it tomorrow." Jade said, putting on her reading glasses.
"Mmhmm! Let me see it." Nora said and took the book. She strode to the couch and laid on it, her back kissing the softness of the foam made couch.
"If wishes were boys.. hmm.. eye-catching name."
"Yeah." Jade concurred. "So sad it's an abomination." Jade added and Nora scoffed.
"It's just an abomination to you, Jade not everyone." Nora said, opening the book.
"Yeah right. Says the girl who goes to church." Jade rolled her eyes and Nora sighed.
"Whatever, church girl." Nora said and that ended it all.
Everywhere became silent as both girls became engrossed in their reading.
"Woah! Why does he have to be a second male lead? With such descriptions of him, he's supposed to be the main male lead infact." Jade said aloud as she read through the lines of a certain page of the book she was reading.
"You're loud, girl." Nora said and Jade who was already fixated on the book she was reading, didn't hear her.
"Messiah? What a name for second male lead. Suits his character though." Jade said aloud again as she chuckled at what she saw in the book.
"Jade, you are..."
Nora was about complaining again when Jade interrupted her.
"No no! This is absolutely wrong! Why would Uriah take Isolde from Messiah?!" Jade yelled, not caring about a thing.
"Shut the fuck up, Jade Malone!" Nora yelled and that brought Jade out of her trance.
"I told you to bring down your voice whenever you are in my house, Nora Roberts. For Christ sake you are not a kid. You are 23." Jade reprimanded Nora for yelling. She was angry because it was midnight and Nora was yelling.
"See who's talking? You screamed while reading that trashy book. I called you twice but your ears weren't functioning as a result of that thing." Nora backfired,pointing to the book on the table.
"What?"
"Yes. 23? What about you who's turning 24 years in two days? But, you still talk while reading?" Nora mocked angrily and Jade sighed.
"I don't okay? It's just that... This book is quite... Not what I expected. Truly, do not judge a book by its cover." Jade murmured as she kept looking at the book on the table. She felt like she is about to go into an adventure with this book.
"Exactly! So read this BL and do not judge." Nora retorted and Jade frowned.
"Okay, sleep time. We have classes tomorrow."
"Yeah right, goodnight."
"Night." Jade muttered.
She didn't want to sleep.. she just began the story. She wanted to know what would happen to Messiah and the league of gods. Jade wanted to know why Messiah was the second male lead, though being so cool.
"Babe.."
Jade heard Nora call her with a drowsy voice.
"Hmm?"
"Sleep. Stop thinking and sleep." Nora said and covered herself with the pink cat patterned blanket, Jade gave her.
"I'm asleep." Jade muttered to herself and laid down on the bed which she brought to the parlour earlier.
Immediately her back touched the bed, Nora's hand swung and landed on her body. Nora was a huggie kind of sleeper.
'See you tomorrow, Messiah.' She said in her head and gasped. 'wait, what? I'm already crushing on a non-existent person? Shit!'
Jade scolded herself in her mind and unknowingly fell asleep.

"Wake up, Jade. It's morning already." Nora said, tapping Jade who was still asleep.
"Messiah."
Nora heard Jade say unconsciously in her sleep and smirked.
"She's Dreaming about the story." Nora muttered to herself as crazy ideas flooded in her head.
"It is me, your Messiah. Kiss me." Nora whispered in Jade's ear. She grinned and waited for Jade's reaction.
"But we just met. How can I kiss you, my love." Jade said, still asleep.
Nora couldn't hold herself anymore. She bursted into an uproar of laughter and that woke Jade up.
"What the hell, Nora? You are too loud!" Jade scolded but Nora kept laughing which made Jade frown.
"Okay okay. Sorry, let's get prepared for lectures." Nora said deciding to not tease Jade anymore but, she swore to herself that she would tell Jayden, Jade's twin brother about what happened.
"Then what are you waiting for?"
