I woke up and was blinded by a bright light. I tried to raise my hands to block the light from shining into my eyes, but my hands were tied up. 'Huh? My hands!' I looked at my hands and legs. 'Oui... This ain't good.' I turned away and saw a computer that was monitoring my health. At first, I thought I was in a hospital, but it also gave me a feeling that I was in a lab. I could see strange colour solutions, weird looking tools, and dangerous equipment lying around. 'Ugh... Seriously, where am I? This place creeps me out. And where are Isaac, Rona, and Ronald?' I struggled to break myself free from the chain that tied my hands and legs to the bed.
As I was struggling, I heard two people whispering. "... Wrong... Change... Plan. " I looked out the room and saw a few people wearing lab coats discussing something outside the room. "What are they saying? I can't hear if only I have sharper ears." I turned away and sighed. 'Normally, I would complain how sensitive my ears are, but now I am wishing for sharper ears. Hahaha.'
I turned back and saw a woman in a lab coat standing in front of me. 'What? I couldn't hear her footstep. How did she do that? Was she floating on air? Coooool~ ". The woman giggled as she saw my eyes sparkled. "Are you not afraid?" The woman placed her hand on my head. I looked at her and thought for a while. "A bit, but where am I? And where's my friends?" The woman's turned grim. "Your friends... they're safe. As for this place..." She looked away as if she was checking her surroundings for people. She looked back and said. "A lab that stores kidnapped children from Eden and put them into virtual trials that you had passed just now." I went completely speechless. The woman released the chains. "Come with me. Let me show you around." I rubbed my hands and legs. "You aren't scared that I would run away?" The woman chuckled. "Every kidnapped children won't be able to escape, but they can die trying." I tilted my head. "What do you mean?" I glanced over at a table and saw blood on the surgical tools. I instinctively touched my head. 'Don't tell me..." The woman smiled. "A tracker and a bomb had been planted in every kidnapped children's brain. In the case a child tries to escape, we can track the child's whereabout and determine to detonate the bomb there and then." My face went pale, and my lips went dry along with my throat. 'A bomb...? In my head?' The woman gave me a cup of water. "You will get used to it like every kidnapped children had." I blinked a few times and took the cup. I stared at the water inside the cup. The woman looked at me like she knew what I'm thinking. "There's no poison, don't worry. I wouldn't want to get in trouble with the higher-ups." I analyzed her tone and body language. 'She doesn't seem to be lying. But that doesn't mean she didn't put other things inside.' I poured the water on the floor.
Sizzle. Sizzle.
I looked down and saw a small hole formed on the floor. I looked back up and saw her smiling. "Oops. Wrong cup, I guess." The woman took a knife out of her lab coat inner pocket and was about to stab me when suddenly a doctor came in. The woman looked behind and quickly ran away from the scene. I was confused. Everything had happened so fast that my brain couldn't keep up. My legs felt weak, and I fell to the ground. The doctor quickly held me up and put me to bed. "How did you get out? You are still weak from fatigue. Don't get out till I tell you so." This time, he didn't use chains to chain me up. The doctor looked away and was busy checking the computer. I pulled the sheets above my head and curled up. 'What everything that woman said are true? If so, all 4 of us can't get out of here? No... There must be way. I need more information. Information is key now.' I felt my hands shaking. 'I need to rest first. Once I recover, I'll search for them.' I sighed deeply. 'I wonder what is Master doing now?' I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
"Zzz... Hmm..." I was sleeping comfortably until I felt something poking my cheek. I turned the other way, but this time, it was poking my back. I got annoyed and screamed. "Stop it, already." I got up and turned and saw Master sitting angrily.
"How could ya be so rude to your Master, imp?"
I looked down and saw Master holding a bamboo back scratcher. "Do you want me to help you scratch your back, Master?"
Master stared at me. "Oh? What with the change of heart, imp? Did the third game make you pure at heart? Your Master is so pleased."
I reached out to take the bamboo back scratcher, but Master retracted. "What do ya think ya are doin', imp?"
"Help to scratch your back with that back scratcher?"
Master looked at the bamboo back scratcher and then looked at me. "This? It's a back scratcher? Not an armpit scratcher?"
I looked at Master with shock. "MASTER! You poked me with that thing? That smelly useless wood?!"
"Smelly? It ain't!" Master smelled the arm scratcher. "It smells good like my armpit."
I nearly puked when Master said that. "Master, put that away!"
"Tsk! Tsk! Tsk. Imp being so arrogant now that imp passed the third game. Hmph!" I massaged my head. "Oui... My head."
Master stared at me. "So? Where's my story? I'M WAITING~"
I sighed, and then I told what happened in the third game. Master smiled and felt satisfied. "Oh, imp! You know what makes me so happy?"
I said. "Having a genius student like me?"
Master said in a monotone voice. "Sure."
"They say students always follow their Master. I wonder if that's true."
Master's eyes brightened up. "Of course that's true, imp. Look at me, I'm a super genius. Under my tender loving care and guidance, ya became a genius, too! Mmhmm! Bow down to my supremacy!" I rolled my eyes and clapped in response.
"That's beside the point, imp. The thing that made ya Master most happy is..." Master paused for effect. I yawned, waiting for Master to continue his nonsense.
"Hey! Don't just sit there and do nothing. Ya supposed to throw in some flowers or something!" I looked around. "There's nothing here!"
Master pouted. "Then do something."
I nodded and said. "Imagine it, Master. Imagination is more powerful than anything else. It will satisfy you in the blink of an eye." I winked, and Master was so impressed and praised me. "Oh! Oh! Oh! Ya right, imp! Ya, right!" Master closed his eyes. "Oh... I am imagining it! Oh! The blossom! The blaze! The food! There's so many!" As Master continued imagining his effect, I laid down and rest.
After some time, Master screamed. "I got it! The perfect effect! Wake up, imp! Wake up! Ya need to witness the power of ya Master's imagination." I sat up and looked at Master. Master opened his eyes. "How you like that, imp?" I stared at Master blankly. 'As if I can read your mind, fool. But I better give him a response, or else he will go crazy.' I jumped up and said. "Wow! Master! That's so AWESOME! It was here and it was there! My mind is blown by Master's imagination. Superb! Master is the best!" I made some exaggerated moves, but if it works, it works.
I looked at Master, I could the delight in his face. "Oh my, imp. Master is so happy now. I've never been this happy. Now I'm feeling sad."
I looked Master in confusion. "???" 'Sad? All of a sudden? What wrong with Master? Oh, wait. I forgot he's loco.' "So what are you so happy about, Master?"
Master's face looked serious. "Today is the last day together, imp."
I scratched my ear. "What? Did I hear that correctly? You mean we are no longer Master and student anymore? Why?"
Master nodded. "That's right. Because tomorrow ya will get a new Master. Someone stronger, wiser, less dirty, can guide ya better and lead ya to a better life."
I looked down and stuttered. "B-but..."
Master placed his hand on my shoulder. "It's alright, imp. Don't 'cha worry a thing. If ya have any trouble, I, ya first Master will assist ya all the way." Master grinned.
I smiled. "Ya... I know. Thanks, Master. It is a pleasure to be your student."
"The pleasure is all mine, imp. Ya may not be the best, but...come here, " Master hugged and patted my head. "Ya a good imp. Don't don't lose ya light forever. I've seen many... too many lights extinguished and never lit again. But don't forget, ya not alone. Ya got people around ya, ya friends, ya acquaintances, people ya love in ya heart. Even if ya lost the light, ya still can rekindle it. So don't lose ya light forever, imp. Understand?" I shook my head. Master sighed. "Ya'll know when the time comes."
