Instead of sitting next to Nora, she circumvented her way around the table, going behind Mrs. Russell, and took her place right beside her lord. Nora was indifferent about it all, but the lady of the house was not too pleased. She had completely forgotten about the doctor's lady companion.
Nora played the host;
"Crystal is it? Hope the accommodations are to your liking? Sorry, but we're poorly staffed at the moment, so we can't give you a lady-in-waiting."
"That's okay. . ." she said with a surprising regal poise; "I can take care of myself."
"Wonderful. Please help yourself to some milk and fruit. We're a light breakfast family."
Nexus tried to cut in here with an explanation as to why she would not be eating.
But Crystal took it upon herself to reply;
"Actually, I don't eat breakfast." she redirected her knowing gaze at Mrs. Russell; "I'm still very full from the last time I ate."
