The emperor locked gazes with his son, and he acknowledged his effort with a nod and a smile.

Emperor Gerald frowned. Even Zheng, who the bison expected to know what it meant, frowned.
'Your heir cannot tame a mystic beast in his regular state. He needs to be saturated with mana for him to be successful,' the Dream Bison elucidated. 'We held a taming session. His first attempt against a grey slitherer failed because his mana reserves were operating within their normal range. He succeeded on his second attempt because he was overloaded with mana.'
Emperor Gerald frowned, thinking about the reason for Zheng's problem. He couldn't relate any of his knowledge to the problem. He said to the bison,
"I have never heard of this kind of problem before."
The Dream Bison said, 'Me too. Luckily, the cause of his problem showed itself when he was overloaded with mana.'
