Marcus' words surprised Annette.
Didn't he tell her to stay away from Connor?
"I heard that Kyle set up a scoring system to target you. Tell Connor about it, and Connor will deal with him."
"I won't tell Connor about what happened to you today. And you don't tell him what Kyle has done to me." Annette's expression was a little serious.
Marcus said unhappily, "You still have feelings for Kyle?"
"No. Not at all. I just don't want to waste time and energy on someone who has nothing to do with me."
Marcus thought for a moment and said, "Fair enough. Let's keep each other's secrets in front of Connor."
Annette smiled and nodded.
She walked to the roadside and hailed a taxi.
Marcus was still standing at the roadside. Annette got into the car and asked him, "Don't you want to get in?"
Marcus held the car door and hesitated for a moment. "Luna, I'm sorry for what I did a few days ago. I won't do that again."
