Annette blushed and covered her face. She looked at Connor with a hurt look.
She said, "Connor, can we stop talking about this? We agreed on this, right?"
"Are you so disgusted about sleeping with me once? In your eyes, am I a bad man? Or do you really hate me so much?" Connor seemed to care about Annette's reaction.
Annette said seriously, "I don't hate you, nor do I think you are a bad man. On the contrary, I think you are a very good man. I don't like the fact that I used you because another man hurt me. This has nothing to do with you."
Connor looked at her and smiled.
"It's good that she doesn't hate you, but we need more than that. We need her love," Leo said in Connor's mind.
"By the way, I'll be discharged in the afternoon and go back to work," Annette said.
"No, you can't return to the company. You haven't recovered yet. You need more rest." Connor simply refused.
