Annette returned to Connor's villa after work. Dwayne said that Connor was resting upstairs.
Annette went upstairs hurriedly. She walked to the bedside and asked, "How are you today? Is your stomach still upset?"
Connor grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms.
"I'm fine. I'm just taking a break."
He did not mention what had happened in school. Annette thought for a moment and said, "You helped me again today."
"Well, not bad. It seems that Marcus did not steal my credit." Connor raised his eyebrows and asked, "Are you touched?"
"If you continue to be so frivolous, the touching feelings will be offset."
Connor smiled, "It's the first time I've heard that the feelings can be offset. If so, it would be worthless."
Annette shrugged and said, "Today, if not for the timely help from you and Marcus, I might have been scolded badly."
"Do you need me to help you deal with that woman in your office?"
