In an empty street, a man is rushing down the sidewalk
"Shit! Emily's gonna get mad at me for being late again"
A cry echoes from a nearby alleyway, he paused for a moment and looks in, there he saw a suspicious individual dressed in black.
He approaches the individual quietly when a piece of glass cracks under his foot startling them.
"Whose there!?"
"Hey, I just heard a strange sound coming from here a moment ago, is everything okay?"
"Yeah, but what do you want?"
"Nothing"
"So why are you still here then?"
"I was just wandering if is there anything I can do for you? You lol like you need it"
"What's that supposed to mean!"
"Well, no offense but your clothes aren't exactly screaming I'm fine. They're dirty and worn, you also look like you haven't eaten in days, you almost seem like a homeless person"
"What's it to you if I am?"
"Well, there's a shelter not too far from here, I could take you there if you'd like"
"I'm fine here thank you"
"Well you don't exactly look fine to me. Do you live here?"
"I don't live here"
"Then where do you live?"
"None of your business!"
"Alright then, if you don't live here what are you doing here then?"
"None of your bu… hey, I'm getting sick of this. If I say it's none of your business it's none of your business"
"Oh but you see, that is my business"
"How so? Last I checked, you're not a cop"
"My name is Agent Jacob Brice and I'm an I.G.M.A officer deployed in this district" he said as he took out his badge.
There was a quick spark of electricity around her "What did you say you were?"
"I.G.M.A agent deployed here in the herlet district"
Electricity began to surge around her as she approached him
"I advise you not to use your gift ma'am or I will be forced to subdue you"
"You're one of "them"!"
"I'm sorry ma'am, I don't understand what you're talking about, who are "them"?"
Electricity gathered in her parks and charged at him attempting to grab his arm. He dodged and backed away.
"Ma'am, this is your last warning. If you continue attacking me I will be forced to subdue you"
"Shut up! Just stand there quietly for me and I'll try to make your end painless!"
He placed his hand on the ground "Since you have decided to ignore my warning I have no choice but to use force!" suddenly pillars of rock emerged from the floor around him, he pointed and many smaller pieces went flying.
They vanished "What the hell! Where did she go?"
"Did you think I would just stand there and get hit?"
"Where!" Jacob said as he swiftly turned around.
They reappeared charged at him again using she cramped space to maneuver bouncing off the walls. He stamped his foot and more rock pillars emerged scattered between them. He placed his hands one and braced it with a rocky armor.
They dashed towards him through the pillars and vanished once more.
"Let's stop this silly game already"
She reappeared behind him "Yeah let's" she struck him in the back with a large bolt of electricity, sending him crashing through one of his stone pillars.
"That's getting really annoying " He said pulling himself out of the rubble.
"She must have some sort of physical enhancement gift as well as electricity based one. But how, a human shouldn't be able to posses more than one gift" he thought to himself
They appeared and disappeared several more times, each time releasing a bolt of electricity at him.
He placed his palm on the ground "Focus Jacob, they aren't disappearing. They are just moving too fast for me to see, but even if I can't see I can still feel. Every movement they make cases vibrations in the ground so all I need to do is follow those vibrations"
"Found you!" She reappeared behind him with a fist full of electricity. He grabbed her hand with his armored palms and threw her outside the alleyway"
"Your speed gave you the upper hand in the alleyway, but out in the street there isn't anywhere for you to jump around"
"I don't need that to kill you!" She said as even more electricity than before surges around her.
"We'll see then"
