Chapter 36 - LONGING

Mia turned to look at Marcus in shock, "what's the meaning of this?" Mia asked with a hint of anger in her voice.

Marcus was confused hearing the anger in her voice, was she not supposed to be angry that he had finally found Amelia, then why was she angry with him.

"Don't worry about my husband, he is a bit muddle headed." Mia said smiling at the girl in the floor.

"Mia, what are you doing? Why are you going close to Amelia she might hurt the baby." Marcus called Mia out as he hurried to go meet her holding her hands.

Mia pushed Marcus hands away angrily, "What kind of stunt are you trying to pull huh?" Mia asked irritatedly.

"What do you mean stunt, I clearly caught Amelia here, why are you so unhappy?" Marcus asked his hands gesturing to the waitress kneeling down.

"Really?, Marcus, Really? is this what Amelia look like to you, their freaking hair colour are clearly different, seems you are still obsessed with her." Mia said as tears stung her eyes pushing Marcus out of the way, storming out of the place.

Marcus looked confused as he noticed the looks he was getting, confused he looked at the girl kneeling again only to notice that she was a blonde.

"Look up." Marcus ordered flustered, how did she change her hair colour so fast.

The waitress looked up with teary eyes staring at Marcus, making him to feel like his head had been over turned.

"You aren't Amelia who are you, where is she?" Marcus asked confused scratching his head in frustration, he could have sworn that he saw Amelia here, where could she have gone.

In a hurry, Marcus pushed through the crowd till he reached outside, his eyes scanning every single person that passed by him, he swore in his heart that he saw Amelia, what happened how did that blond enter into the mix.

Marcus was very sure that the waitress he caught was a redhead, how did the red head change blonde and how did Amelia change her face so quick, or was it his imagination.

Marcus searched to no avail but then he spotted someone behind a tree staring at him with bright emerald green eyes with bloodlust.

Suddenly, as if in a daze, Marcus started heading towards the park, entering the busy road like a mind controlled fool.

An incoming car which was over speeding heading towards Marcus direction, pressed his horn repeatedly but got no response from the dazed Marcus as he continued walking further into his doom, the driver swerved left and right in a bid to avoid Marcus but due to the event of that day, the street was crowded so avoiding Marcus meant that he was crushing into the crowd so the driver decided to save himself and jumped out of the car leaving the car heading towards Marcus direction who was still oblivious to the chaos around him.

People just watched on whipping out their phones to record the scene while the more emphatic ones yelled out for him to get out of the way but no one was willing to risk their lives to push him out of the road, and just like that the car came and collided with Marcus.

The green eyes that watched Marcus smirked at the result before blending in to the rushing crowd who hurried about to perform first aid to Marcus.

Chaos occurred as every where was disoriented, Marcus limb body laid on the car's rear, his head bled on the shattered windshield, the blood flowing from the windshield down to the dented bonnet that brought out smoke.

Amelia hurriedly ran to where she left Leviton panting, "Let's go." She said as she repeatedly look back afraid that maybe Marcus had followed her.

"I thought I told you no murder." Leviton said in a stern voice as he stared hard at Amelia.

"What do you mean murder? what are you trying to insinuate? do I look like a murderer to you?" Amelia asked infuriated but his reprimand, never would she kill anyone no matter how they hurt her.

"Fine, what ever floats your boat." Leviton said snickering as he pulled her closer holding her waist without any warning causing her to yelp in surprise.

Before Amelia could argue with Leviton, they were already back to the villa, "Why the hell did you pull me like that without any warning." Amelia yelled angrily as she pushed Leviton away from her.

"I'm sorry your royal Highness." Leviton said sarcastically, "You know what, you demons are ass holes." Amelia turned around entering into the villa not wanting to bother with the demon behind her any longer.

It seemed their jerkiness was in their blood stream, Amelia thought cursing poor Leviton badly in her heart, but she could not understand why she was just so irritated when he only did that to bring her back home.

The feeling of cautiousness in her heart just rang a loud alarm in her when Leviton grabbed her waist like that.

"Argh, Amelia pull yourself together." Amelia scolded herself feeling conflicted, why was she feeling this way when she did not even have her guard up against the devil himself.

"Sucks to be you right now." Amelia heard Leviton annoying voice behind her, making her feel like taking the nearest object to stab his throat so he would not be able to speak anymore.

"What about Damon?" Amelia asked the question that had been on her mind for a while now.

Hearing her question, Leviton fists tightened together as his vein bulged out.

"He had to deal with the rebels." Leviton stated simply but Amelia could catch on the cold tone he used, what was the story behind this guy she wondered, why was her heart so against him warning her to be cautious.

"Okay." Amelia replied, "I'm going to head upstairs now." She said climbing up, today facing Marcus brought back her ugly past, she needed to go rest.

After Amelia climbed up the stairs, Leviton freed his hand as blood dripped from his palm sliding down to his fingers then dropped on the floor, he looked upstairs longed and hard before sighing with longing in his eyes.
