AT THE DINING ROOM
*CLANK CLANK*, the sounds of spoons hitting the plates were heard.
Lucifena and Emily were eating so fast like they were being chased, as the others were looking at them with a bewildered look on their faces.
"Hey, you two, would you stop eating like that, you might choke", Lucia says.
"Ith lai wha? (eat like what?)", they both said at the same time. "Are you guys that hungry, we literally ate some snacks like, eight minutes ago", Selene looks at them also looking confused.
"Ahem...", Emily finishes eating the food in her mouth and says, "again, we ate snacks not food Selene", Lucifena nods with her mouth so full.
"Ahem...", Zenos clears his throat. "So how was the training today", he says. The girls all of a sudden had goosebumps on their skin.
"Sigh, it was as always, extremely exhausting", Emily looks tired and continues eating. "It was the worst", Selene says while looking at her mom with an angry expression.
"Hey don't look at me like that, when I was your age my training was much more worse than yours", Lucia says as she pouts and looks away with her hand crossed against her chest.
Suddenly the place fell quite, Selene blinks, "mom you were also trained?".
"Of course she was, why do you think she is so strong and good at fighting", Lucifena says.
"But mom, you said when you were our age, so that means you were also nine years old when you started, no wait I was six when I started, so that means you started when you where also six, but why?", Emily looks at her mom with curiosity.
The girls turn and looks at Lucia, expecting her to answer. "Well...um...y...yes I did get trained when I was your age", Lucia stammers.
"Ooh really, so were you trained to be an assassin, because you are really strong and the way you move, it's just like Mr X in my favorite spy movie, *GASP*, or were you a spy?", Lucifena looks at her mom with sparkling eyes filled with curiosity.
*COUGH COUGH*, Zenos almost chokes on the food, "Lucifena eat your food and stop talking nonsense, that goes for all of you too", Zenos looks at his wife, who is looking at him, she smiles and says, "thank you", silently, he smiles back at her.
"But we just wanna know", Lucifena mumbles to herself. "Eat your food", Zenos looks at her with a stern face.
Lucifena looks disappointed, because her plan to make her mom talk did not work. 'Well there's always a next time', she thought to herself while eating.
Emily, Selene, Xiaoling and Avery also thought the same thing.
THE NEXT DAY
"Are you guys ready?", Lucia turns to see the children lying on the sofa, "come on get up you have to go to school".
They are all dressed in navy blue pleated shirt that stops right above their knees, with a white buttoned T-shirt with the school badge on the right and a navy blue bow. Lucifena and Emily's hair is tied up into a pony tail, while Xiaoling's hair is tied into two buns and two strands of hair at the front.
"Is it really necessary?", Lucifena says while looking sleepy. "Yes it is, now get up, get up, you guys are going to be late if you don't go now", Lucia replies while forcing them to get up as they all groan still feeling sleepy.
"If you guys don't get up now I'm going to extend your training to seven days a week", Lucia smiles as she looks at them. They immediately stood up, not that they feared that she might actually do it, they knew she would do it.
"Come on mom, there is no need for that we're all up, see, and we're going now", Selene says while smiling and looking at her mother as she ushers her sisters to the car.
"Bye, have fun and Lucifena I do not want to receive a call from your teacher saying that you beat someone up okay", Lucia looks at Lucifena who is already in the car.
"Okay", Lucifena replies with a smile and waves at her mom as the car drives away, "byeee". Emily looks at her raising one of her eyebrows, "you're going to do something, aren't you?", "whaaat me, I would never", Lucifena looks at her smiling, "mhmm, yeah right I don't believe you", Emily says.
"Okay fine, I would only beat them up if they do something to make me angry, and it's not always my fault", Lucifena says.
"Hmm, but behave okay, if they do something bad to you tell your teacher, okay?", Emily looks at her with a stern face. "O..okay", Lucifena says.
'Oh it feels so good to be the eldest', Emily thinks to herself, feeling proud as she smiles inwardly.
The car slows down and stops in front of the school.
"Oh we're hear, hey Xiaoling, Avery we have arrived wake up", Selene says while tapping the two girls.
"Hmmm, already?", Xiaoling says in a sleepy voice and rubs her eyes. The driver comes out of the car and goes to open the door for them, "thank you", Avery says. They all get down and head toward the school.
Song Dae Elementary school is a well known school, it is a school that most wealthy people send their kids to and it is well known for their teaching method and how the discipline their pupils.
Zenos didn't want to put them in a school because of his insecurities, he feared that if he allowed them to go to school then they will not be safe, but he also didn't want them to be like him. Growing up Zenos was being home schooled and he did not have any friends to play with. He did not want this for his kids, because his wife Lucia persuaded him and assured him that nothing will happen, he agreed, although he is still not sure whether he made the right decision or not.
"I guess we're going our separate ways now, you three should not do anything to get in trouble", Selene looks at the three as she and Emily go the other way to their class, "bye", she says as she continues to walk the other way.
Lucifena, Avery and Xiaoling walk to their class, they stop at a door with the word, 'GRADE 1-B', written on it , and goes into the class.
The class is lemon green, with some animal drawings on the wall and times table, four short shelves with books stacked in it, two at each side, a black board on the wall, little chairs and table in the class and a teachers table and chair. The class is nice but, "it's noisy, sigh", Avery sighs and goes to her seat.
Xiaoling was just about to seat down when she heard a familiar voice call her name, "Xiaoling", she turns to see who it is. She sees Levine walking towards her with a bright and happy face.
