Thinking back to their first meeting, when she had mistaken him for a malicious assassin, Daohua awkwardly adjusted her temples.
"Yiyi?"
Daohua immediately looked towards Guo Ruomei, "What would you like me to do, auntie?"
Guo Ruomei smiled, "I can call you Yiyi, right?"
Daohua nodded, "Of course."
Guo Ruomei said, "I heard you fell into the river before; are you alright?"
Daohua shook her head, "Thank you for your concern, auntie, I'm quite fine."
Guo Ruomei smiled and nodded, "That's good to hear. In the future, take more bodyguards with you when you go out. In Beijing... there are many high officials and nobles, and inevitably a few who are arrogant and domineering."
Daohua nodded again, showing she took the advice to heart.
Seeing Daohua standing obediently and neatly before her, hands folded, Guo Ruomei couldn't help but chuckle, "Yiyi, I want to ask you for a favor."
Daohua quickly responded, "Just say the word, auntie. Not just one favor, but ten would be fine."
