Daohua arrived at Taohua Temple the second day, and Xiao Yeyang came.
"Are you alright?"
Xiao Yeyang pulled Daohua in front of him and gave her a once-over, making sure she wasn't hurt before he allowed himself to relax. Then he couldn't help but scold her, "What were you thinking? Facing an assassination, instead of running away you rushed in. What if something had happened to you?"
With dark circles under her eyes and a somewhat languid expression, Daohua replied, "Do you think I wanted that? It's just my bad luck to encounter it. If I hadn't dealt with those men in black, what if they decided to kill the witnesses afterward?"
Seeing that Daohua was lacking in spirit, Xiao Yeyang knew she must have been frightened by yesterday's events. He took her hand and soothed her, "It's alright now. I've sent someone to the scene. I guarantee there won't be any traces left for someone to find."
