The sun had set and it was already dark. Nighttime. The clouds could be seen in the sky as though they were slightly moving and behind them, dozens of stars peeked.
The fight between Veer and Sky had garnered unwanted attention and people were gathering to find out what the cause of the commotion was.
Sky had specifically told Anna more than once not to interfere in the fight and judging from how Sky said it and the expression on his face, he was dead serious.
When Anna and Veer had fought, it was clear that Anna was stronger than Veer although Veer was still able to deal a considerable amount of damage to Anna.
Now Sky was fighting Veer and he had managed to stand his ground all through the fight. Veer certainly had the upper hand in the fight but that's did not stop Sky as Sky kept fighting.
Anna had her guesses that if she was to interfere with the fight with how Sky was, he would most likely start fighting her instead of Veer and she did not know whether Sky's magic would affect her or not in the same way he was able to stop time for Veer.
At the moment, she was trying to get people away from the buildings when she saw Veer flying into the air while holding Sky.
Veer was releasing his white energy as a kind of booster from beneath his feet which propelled him higher into the air at a faster speed. He had held Sky from his stomach with his shoulders and Sky was currently hitting him on the back, trying to make him go down to the ground.
Sky used his magic to stop the time for Veer and Veer suddenly stopped in the air, the white energy being released from beneath his feet was still shining brightly but was also frozen in time.
Sky's purple energy still shined fiercely and the energy that filled up his eyes was yet to dim in the slightest. From the energy around Sky, one could tell he was furious but his expression gave absolutely nothing away. Blank. Dead? It was almost as if a lifeless being was fighting.
Sky somehow removed himself from Veer's grip and climbed on top of his shoulders. He began hitting Veer's head as fast as he could with as much strength as he could then he made sure to target Veer's throat and hit it forcefully.
After doing all of that, Sky tried using the magnetism part of his magic. He stretched his hand out and attempted to draw the metals from the ground to himself. Sky and Veer were at least a hundred and fifty metres above the ground and Sky could not control the metals that were on the ground.
His magic was obviously not strong enough to cover the distance and the metals were out of his range. Sky could see Veer slightly shifting. His magic was not strong enough to freeze Veer in time for long yet.
The people on the ground below were looking up at the two strangers that were apparently fighting in the air. Suddenly, they saw the person with a purple outline around his body jump off the shoulders of the other one.
"Has he lost his mind?" somebody asked.
"What does he think he's doing?"
"Is he trying to get himself killed?"
"We've already called the clinsers so they should be here soon."
"With the war going on?" another person scoffed. "You think they have time to deal with two people brawling in the air?"
Anna saw Sky jump off Veer's shoulders and instantly began flying to meet him but remembering the look on Sky's face – or the lack thereof – she stopped but decided that if he got too close to the ground without doing anything, she would help him. 'Screw what he told me.' she thought. She could still beat him up if she wanted to regardless of his magic or the new energy thing around him.
As Sky got closer to the ground, falling in a vertical position with his hands stretched out at both sides, he controlled any metal he could feel in his surroundings, not caring what the metal was used to do.
He clenched his fists and ripped some metals out of buildings and controlled some from wherever he could find it.
Forming a board beneath himself might lessen the impact of his fall and his purple energy would also help lessedln the impact but he might still break a few bones falling from a height like that so instead Sky quickly began forming something in the air.
A slide made of metal could be seen forming in the air and as it was being made, Sky was making it curve in the air to increase his friction as he made it go all the way to the ground.
The buildings Sky had taken metals from would have collapsed and turned to rubble if not for the ethanium that was used to construct buildings.
In case of emergency situations, the ethanium used for the construction of the building would automatically be activated and would hold the parts of the building firmly together for a short while to allow everyone enough time to evacuate or leave the area.
Sky was in the slide, still heading towards the ground at an uncontrollable speed. He was actively making the metal slide curve as it neared the ground when out of nowhere Veer slammed into the slide, passing right through it and going again.
He destroyed every thing Sky had done in seconds and finally went above Sky, pulled his hand as far back as he could, condensing the white energy until it was almost solid around his fist, then hit Sky down to the ground while also shooting energy balls at him.
Sky had not been fast enough to react and when Veer hit him on the head from above, he had crashed into the ground, making a small crater which was not clearly visible through the dust that had risen into the air.
The effect of Sky's magic had worn off on Veer and he was no longer frozen in time but Sky's multiple attacks on him had gotten through the white energy and affected Veer. He was bleeding from his mouth and his nose.
Without making a single sound, Sky tried to get up from the ground. He had crashed into the ground with his upper left side and now he had lost control in his left hand. He could tell it was dislocated from the shoulder and the bone was sticking out in a weird way although it wasn't sticking out of his skin.
The left side of Sky's face was also bleeding and had a large tear on it as if it had been dragged across the floor and his left cheekbone had somewhat of a dent in it.
As the dust cleared up, Veer landed on the ground and saw the condition Sky was in. "Are you ready to give up?" he asked.
Watching Sky and Veer, Anna was worried for Sky. His face was practically now deformed compared to the perfection it used to be a while ago and he had not made a single sound since.
No matter how many times Veer hit him and even now when he should be in the most amount of pain, Sky was still silently looking at Veer.
Sky's left hand dangled uselessly by his side and Sky looked at the hand then looked back at Veer.
"That looks like it hurts." Veer said and pointed at the arm.
People were still watching the fight while also maintaining their distance away from Sky and Veer. They wanted to see what would happen out of natural curiosity but they also didn't want to get involved unknowingly or get hurt.
The purple energy around Sky which was outlined around his whole body suddenly began moving furiously, kind of swirling back and forth for a moment around Sky then it exploded in every direction.
Some people that were not far away enough were sent flying while others took cover.
Veer took a step back to regain his footing as the energy hit him but aside from that he was completely unaffected.
The purple energy was now more than an outline around Sky and was somehow surrounding him in the form of a ball. From Sky's body, the purple energy began to change.
It was as if Sky's body was releasing another type of energy that was overpowering his purple energy and was taking its place. The purple energy was being replaced by white energy Sky's body was releasing and halfway through the sphere of energy that had formed around Sky, the white energy stopped.
Sky was now in a sphere of energy which was white from his body but halfway through the energy was purple.
"What is this?" Veer asked, looking shocked by what he was seeing.
