"DIE BASTARDS!!!" Jake shouted as he directed the fireball in his hands, which could now be described as a smaller version of the sun, towards the ground.
Instead of throwing the fireball at the five-tailed wert hovering in the sky, Jake threw it at the ground, onto Soran.
He knew that throwing the fireball at the five-tailed wert would be next to pointless because with the wert's speed, it could evade the fireball and everything he did would have been for nothing.
But throwing it to the ground below him, he would kill the werts below and beyond and ensure that they could no longer attack the people inside the magic barrier.
Immediately the fireball touched the ground, it started incinerating every single thing it touched. Nothing could withstand the raw strength and magic behind the fireball.
All the trees, buildings and multiple infrastructures on Soran were being burnt into nothing before the fireball even reached them.
The fireball was incinerating everything on the surface of the planet and it was still burning fiercely. It was burning the ground and it was not close to stopping. A hole half the size of the planet was slowly being burnt into the ground as the fireball kept burning and going deeper.
Nothing was left untouched in the fireballs wake as it burnt nonstop.
"Now that's what I call a successful delivery." Jake said, smiling at the carnage happening below him. The dome-like building he was standing on was already crumbling.
Staring at what the fireball did, the five-tailed wert in the sky was amazed.
"How can a mere human be capable of doing something like this? This planet is being destroyed and the magic of the fireball still lingers on."
"I'm no mere human. And I'm coming for you!" Jake shouted at the five-tailed wert and began focusing on the shapeshifting magic flowing through his body.
He had no idea if what he was doing would work or not and Anna never really explained to him how her magic worked. But after using a whole lot of magical abilities without anyone telling him how to, he kind of figured out how to use any magical ability on his own.
What he noticed was for shapeshifting magic, why it is somewhat difficult to use is because you need a lot of concentration.
Shapeshifting into something you have not seen before is impossible but for something you have seen before, you need to clearly see it in your mind to be able to accurately shapeshift into it.
Not clearly seeing what you want to shapeshift into in your mind can lead to an incomplete shapeshift.
But when you want to shapeshift into something that is right in front of you, less concentration is needed.
Looking at the five-tailed wert in front of him, Jake's skin began turning into scales and his pupils began turning into slits. Five long tails tore through his denim trousers and his clothes ripped apart as his body grew in size, his teeth growing longer and becoming razor sharp with three long spikes and a pair of wings sticking out of his back.
"This is more like it." Jake snarled.
Flying to the five-tailed wert, Jake stopped right in front of it. They both looked identical to the extent that one could not tell which wert was Jake and which was the actual wert.
"Impressive." the five-tailed wert said to Jake. "But that is not enough to beat me."
"I highly doubt that." Jake replied.
Throwing out a punch, Jake's fist was about to make contact with the head of the five-tailed wert but the wert suddenly flew to the side and vanished into thin air.
'The hell?!' Jake thought, looking around but seeing no signs of the wert. 'Did it just disappear? I thought werts were crazily fearless and deadly.'
While looking for the five-tailed wert, Jake felt something hit him on his chest and he flew back before he regained his balance and steadied himself with his wings.
He felt another hit on his jaw and he was sent upwards before he regained his balance again.
'I get it. It didn't disappear, it's just invisible. If only Anna had taught me how to fight an invisible person when I asked her to. This would have been a walk in the park.'
Swinging his arms wildly, not knowing where the next attack was coming from, Jake kept getting hit and now his midsection had a huge claw mark that was bleeding but was healed with his health points.
The fireball was starting to dwindle but with the light that still shone brightly from it, Jake was able to notice something about the attacks he had been receiving.
Before the attacks hit him, he would see a very faint outline in the air. The speed at which the five-tailed wert was moving his hands was fast enough for a faint outline of the top part of his hands to appear.
When he flew very fast, a faint outline of his whole body also briefly appeared and that was all Jake needed for the wert to be visible to him.
Noticing the outline of the wert's claws heading straight for his face, Jake reached out and put his hand behind the outline, grabbing onto the forearm of the wert.
"Gotcha." Jake said.
Using the fire magic, Jake immediately released a high amount of fire from his whole hand and was burning the hand of the wert.
Feeling the wert trying to break free from his grip, Jake used his other hand to reach out to where he thought the neck of the wert would be.
The wert was still invisible but Jake was holding onto what's left of its hand and his neck, Noe releasing fire there as well.
Seeing another faint outline coming towards him, Jake did not know what it was but did not care to know. He let whatever the attack was hit him and he realized that it was the five tails of the wert that had hit him.
No matter how many times the wert hit him with its tails, Jake did not let go and still kept on burning its neck.
'This is taking longer than I thought. Is the neck that strong?' Jake thought. "Why won't you die!?"
He had used his own five tails to keep the five tails of the wert busy but the wert was using its claws to hack at Jake's arm.
Now it was a matter of who would give in first. Jake, or the five-tailed wert?
