Hearing the knock on the door, Lumian sat up straight. The lazy look on his face still present. He looked like someone bored. Someone who had nothing to pique his interest.
"Come in." he said in a slothful manner, yawning deeply.
"Sir." Kalvrie said as she walked into the living room. "I just received word from one of our sources in the human orbit."
"Exactly which one Kalvrie?" Lumian asked, not sparing her even a glance. "You know there's only one I care about at this moment."
"Of course sir." Kalvrie replied. "The one monitoring Jake. I just received word from her."
"That's good." Lumian said. "Finally. She has been radio silent for up to a month already. Did she have anything good to report?"
"She has been focused on her mission and was with Jake throughout her period of radio silence. Jake has displayed the first gear of his abilities as a Melynx."
"Wow." Lumian said, clearly awed by what he had just heard. "The Xendors sure are a very fascinating bloodline. Are you sure of what you are saying?"
"According to our source sir, and I quote, 'His ability was incredible for his first time. I have never seen a newly accessed ability as strong as his.'"
"Truly fascinating." Lumian said with a smile on his face. "Is he aware of what he is yet?"
"I am not sure sir, but I do not think so." Kalvrie answered. "I have not been informed of anything like that."
"How reliable is this source of yours?" Lumian asked, shifting in his seat to get a better view of Kalvrie.
"Very, sir." Kalvrie answered, not making eye-contact with Lumian.
"His magic." Lumian said. "Magic mimicry. Has it gotten stronger? Has he improved it?"
"Yes sir. He now has the capability of mimicking two magical abilities simultaneously." Kalvrie elaborated.
"With that kind of magic and strength on our side, no one and nothing would be able to stop us from ruling as the supreme beings we are. And the brother? What's his name?"
"Sky Dipson sir." Kalvrie replied.
"Dipson is a useless name. He is also a Xendor. Are there any signs of him displaying his Melynx abilities yet? What magical ability does he possess? How strong is he?"
"I am afraid I do not know sir."
"What!? Why not!?" Lumian asked, his voice booming in the large living room. He was close to getting angry and losing his temper, which was not something that happened often. Which only proves how important it was to him to know everything that happened in the lives of the Xendors living with the humans.
"I'm sorry sir, but I did not assign anybody to monitor his activities." Kalvrie replied, a bit of fear finding its way into her body, though she still put up an even and simple expression. "You never gave me those orders."
"Do I have to tell you to do every freaking thing?" Lumian asked, almost yelling. "You should know the basic things you are supposed to do without someone telling you to."
"Forgive me sir. Please accept my apologies." Kalvrie said, bowing her head even lower than she already did.
"I don't need your apologies." Lumian said, calming down. "Leave now and assign someone, anybody, to the brother. I want an update on that when I ask for it."
"Please excuse me." Kalvrie said, taking a bow and exiting the living room.
After Kalvrie left the living room, Lumian adjusted the collar of the overcoat he was wearing and sighed.
"She just made, and ruined my day in the short interval of a few minutes." Lumian said to himself. "Now I have to attend that stupid meeting in a slightly upset mood. I think I'll just wait it out for a while."
Closing his eyes and resting his body on the backrest of the sofa, the edge of his lips curved upwards into a smile and the strands of his blue hair began to sway in the air.
On a closer look, one could see that from the hair pores on his scalp, green energy was being released and it was moving through the strands of hair on his head.
Lumian was supplying his hair with energy from his body and his blue hair was now turning green.
'That's one of the things you can do by being able to access the third gear.' Lumian thought. 'Cheap tricks like these. I should start going to the meeting now. It has probably already started.'

Leaving the house which still glowed blue and walking out of the gate, Kalvrie walked past the guards and through the forest with red trees while doing some thinking.
'Do I need to tell him that I did not actually send someone to Veda to monitor Jake? She was already staying on Veda and since she was already there, I gave her the mission of monitoring Jake.'
'She isn't very different from Jake and Sky. All of them being the offsprings of both a Melynx and a Human. Though she is not a descendant of one of the six regals, unlike Jake and Sky.'
"Focus Kalvrie." she said to herself, while still power walking through the forest. "Who do I send to Soran to keep an eye on Sky?"
'Should I send Veer again? He failed in the other mission but he is still a good warrior and a strong Aramante. I'll give him a chance to redeem himself. After all, he succeeded when he was sent to kill the mothers of Sky and Jake.'
