As the third year students were preparing to go on their first expedition, the first and second year students were getting ready to obtain their magical abilities.
The excitement could be felt in the air as everyone spoke with glee and anticipation. It was similar to when the previous second year students were about to obtain their magical abilities except the atmosphere was filled with more cheerfulness due to the number of people that were excited.
The first and second year students had remained in the bleachers on the school field, waiting for further instructions from Miss Summer who could be seen walking onto the podium.
"Can I have your attention students?" Summer spoke into the microphone.
Turning their heads and attention to Summer on the podium, the students went silent in order to hear every word miss Summer was going to say.
"As I announced earlier, you all will be obtaining your magical abilities today. There are vehicles which will take you all to the facility where you will obtain your magical abilities. After exiting the bleachers, you will see the vehicles so please, your numbers are too high to form a single line, so instead form multiple lines to enable a smooth boarding process."
"When you get to the vehicles, a roll call is going to be done to ensure you are all present."
Exiting the bleachers, the students were all very excited. In a few moments, they will be obtaining magic. The happiness was more in the first year students because they weren't supposed to be getting magic until they became third year students which would not be happening anytime soon.
Due to the number of students leaving the school to obtain their magic, there were about five Seetles that would be transporting the students from the school to the facility where they would obtain their magic.
After the roll call was done, the Seetles left the school compound with the students and headed to Trydon Inc.
Coming to a stop in the parking garage in the large compound, Miss Summer got down from the Seetle first and did another roll call as each student got down from the vehicle.
"Students, before we go in I want you all to listen to me. I know you are excited about getting your magic but before you get them, there is going to be a lesson on how we are able to use magical abilities, where it first came from, and the cost or downside of using magic."
"Downside?" a student shouted from the crowd.
"Yes." Summer answered. "Just pay attention, do as you are told and this will be a very memorable moment for you all."
Following Miss Summer and a man who was introduced to them as Mr. Ken Yung, Sky and the rest of the students were eagerly anticipating the type of magic they were going to get.
___
"I can't believe it." Sky said to his friends next to him.
Sky's friends were just as handsome as he was. As the most popular student among the second year students, it was expected that he mostly associates with people that are just as cool as he is.
Everyone had already obtained their magical abilities and they were currently in the Seetles on their way back to school.
"I know." said Cole, one of Sky's friends. "The man in white said your magic had something to do with time and magnetism or something."
"'The man in white' is Dr. Thomas." said Ty, another one of Sky's friends. "And didn't he say you could disintegrate the things you touch? What did he call it? Matter Disintegration?"
"Yes, but Sky's magic sounds way better." Cole said. "The man in white didn't say the name of your magic though."
"No, he didn't." Sky said. "I think he said they couldn't come up with a name for it or something. And he said it's something they were able to create recently, that it's the only one of its kind, for now. Anyway, I can't wait to start using it. What's your magic Ty?"
"Force Extension." Ty answered. "It has to do with releasing waves of energy."
"How about you Xavier?" Cole asked.
"It has something to do with the shadows." Xavier answered in a monotonous voice without even shifting his gaze from the window to Cole.
"Yes." Sky said sarcastically. "Tell us your magic has something to do with the shadows and we're just supposed to magically know what that means."
"What that means is," Xavier continued in the same monotonous voice as before, "with my magic, I will be able to manipulate shadows. Make them solid, in a way. And probably move through them."
"Dark person, dark magic." Cole said jokingly.
"I think it suits you." Ty said.
"Well, the main thing is, we now have magic." Sky said, the excitement of the day still evident in his voice. "Man I can't wait to start using my magic."
Arriving back at school, the students got down from the Seetles they were in and waited for Miss Summer to instruct them on what was to happen now that they had obtained their magic.
"Everyone, as you can see," Miss Summer began speaking after a roll call had been done, "the bleachers is still on the field so please go there and take a seat."
After every student was seated in the bleachers, Summer climbed onto the podium and started talking.
"Firstly, congratulations on obtaining your magical abilities."
The students immediately erupted into a cheer and began clapping and shouting excitedly.
Smiling, Summer said to the students through the microphone "Alright that's enough. Now that you all have magic, tomorrow, you will start being trained on how to use it. You are free to go home."
"It's weird," Sky said, "this is the one time I don't feel like leaving school."
"Yeah." Cole agreed. "It's as if we should just stay a while longer and at least learn how to activate the magic or something."
"That is why there is tomorrow." Xavier said and grabbed his black jacket from the seat next to him before proceeding to follow the students that were already leaving the bleachers.
"And besides," Ty said, smiling to himself, "who says we can't learn how to activate the magic ourselves?"
