[Quest Update]

"At least these quests give me a lot of exp as a reward for completing them. But how do I hold an object with a temperature of 100°C for 10 mins? That's going to be deadly painful, even though I can heal, it doesn't mean I don't feel pain."
Dropping the matter of his quests, Jake went to take his phone from the table in his room and gave Cat a call.

Seeing Jake calling her, Cat smiled and answered the call. "Hey Jake."
"Hey Cat, are you busy tomorrow?" Jake asked.
"No, I don't think so. Why?"
"We never had that second date we talked about. So I was thinking, let's do it tomorrow, you and me, the whole day." Jake said. "That's if you won't be busy."
"I don't have any plans for tomorrow, so yeah, let's do it. What time?"
"When you see me in your house, that's the time."
"What? No, you can't do that. I need time to prepare and get ready."
"Then I'll wait for you till you're done."
"Jake don't do that. I'm serious, tell me what time you'll be here."
"Okay, how does 5 O clock sound?"
"Sounds good. See you then, bye." Cat said.
"Bye."
Keeping her phone on her bedside table, Cat smiled then got down from her bed and ran out of her room. "Cassie?" she called when she was close to the door of Cassie's room.
"Cassie." Cat said again as she opened the door to Cassie's room and saw Cassie sitting on the bed with her eyes closed.
Looking at who just came inside her room, Cassie said to Cat "What's up? And why are you shouting my name all over the house?"
Sitting next to Cassie on the bed, Cat told her "Jake's coming over to take me out on our second date tomorrow and I don't know what to wear."
"Why are you bothering about that now? You said he's coming over tomorrow, so don't think about it tonight." Cassie said.
"What if I find out tomorrow I don't have anything nice to wear?" Cat asked.
"That's not possible, I'm sure there are a lot of options in your wardrobe. But if we find out tomorrow you don't have something nice to wear, I can lend you something from my wardrobe. And you must return it."
"Thanks."
"You're welcome. Now go away or be quiet, I'm trying to concentrate."
"Trying to concentrate on what?" Cat asked.
"My flow of magic. I told you I'm trying to increase my mana and the strength of my magic." Cassie answered.
"Oh okay. Let me join you then, I also have to increase my mana."
"Fine, but I don't want any distractions."
Sitting up straight on the bed, Cat joined Cassie in focusing on the flow of magic in their bodies.

After he had finished talking to Cat, Jake remained sitting on the chair with his eyes closed while focusing on his magic.
Opening his eyes, Jake realized something. 'I can complete one of the new quests now, the one about running to school and coming back. It's late so not many people will be outside at this time, they'd probably be wondering why someone is running back and forth at this time of the night. I just need to come up with something that will make Dad or Sky not to come to my room.'
Going downstairs, Jake went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. After drinking the water, Jake dropped the glass and faked a long and loud yawn on his way to the stairs, loud enough for Andrea and Sky to hear it from the living room. "I'm off to bed. I don't want any disturbances because I want to get a good night's sleep."
"You didn't have to yawn like a fat cow to let us know that." Sky said to Jake from the living room.
"Sky, that's not how to talk to your brother." Andrea warned.
"But am I wrong Dad?"
"Whatever," Jake said from the stairs, "just don't disturb me."
"Now you can bet I'll disturb you." Sky said.
Ignoring Sky, Jake went back to his room and shut the door. Staring at his bed, he thought of a way to make it look like he was there sleeping without him actually being there.
Taking a couple of pillows, Jake put them together in the place and position he would usually sleep in and used a blanket to cover it.
Backing away from the bed with a few steps, Jake took a good look at the bed and thought he had done a fairly good job of making it look like he was the one sleeping.
Switching off the lights and going to the same window he had jumped out of earlier, Jake jumped down as quietly as he could and took another look at his quests to be sure of what he was doing.

'Okay, let's do this.' When he had set a timer on his watch for thirty minutes and jumping a few times to stretch his legs, Jake began running in the direction of Dicenview Academy.
After running as fast as he could to his school and back home again several times without stopping for a second, when Jake had run back to his house for the last time, he fell to the ground.
'My endurance is very high but that kind of running still wasn't easy. It's a good thing I didn't stop for a break or something, if I had I might not have made it back on time.' Jake thought after he checked the timer on his watch and saw he still had half a minute left.
Checking his new system messages, Jake saw he had completed the quest.

Going back into his room through the window, Jake saw Sky sitting on a chair staring straight at him.
