Running Away
Ava spent the next few days in a haze. She couldn't eat or sleep, and she spent most of her time lying in bed, staring at the ceiling. She couldn't believe that Ryan had cheated on her with Lily, of all people. She had never even liked Lily, and now she hated her with a burning passion.
She knew that she couldn't stay in the pack with Ryan and Lily. She needed to get away from them, at least for a little while. She needed to clear her head and figure out what she was going to do next.
So, she packed a bag and headed out into the forest, not even sure where she was going. She just needed to run, to escape from the pain and the betrayal.
As she ran through the forest, she thought about everything that had happened. She thought about Ryan and Lily, about the baby growing inside of her. She didn't know what she was going to do about any of it.
After a few hours of running, she came across a clearing. In the center of the clearing was a small cabin. It looked abandoned, but something about it called to her. She felt drawn to it.
She walked up to the cabin and pushed open the door. Inside, it was dark and musty, but there was a bed and a small fireplace. It wasn't much, but it would do. She needed someplace to stay, someplace where she could be alone.
She spent the next few days in the cabin, trying to sort out her thoughts. She didn't know what she was going to do about the baby or about Ryan and Lily. She just knew that she needed some time to herself.
One night, as she was sitting by the fire, she heard a noise outside. She got up and looked out the window, but she didn't see anything. She shrugged it off and went back to her seat by the fire.
But the noise came again, louder this time. She got up and walked to the door, peering out into the darkness. And that's when she saw him.
It was a wolf, but it wasn't a normal wolf. It was bigger than any wolf she had ever seen, with fur as black as coal. Its eyes shone in the darkness, and she could feel its intensity.
Ava felt a sense of fear wash over her. She knew that this was no ordinary wolf. She backed away from the door, feeling like she was being watched.
And then, the wolf spoke.
"Ava," it said, its voice deep and resonant.
Ava felt like she was going to faint. She had never heard a wolf speak before. She didn't even know it was possible.
"Who are you?" she asked, her voice shaking.
"I am Jack," the wolf said. "I have been sent to find you."
"Sent by who?" Ava asked, feeling like she was in a dream.
"Sent by the moon," Jack said. "You have been chosen, Ava. You have a destiny to fulfill."
Ava felt like she was going crazy. This couldn't be happening. But something about the way that Jack spoke, the way that he looked at her, made her believe him.
"What kind of destiny?" she asked, feeling a glimmer of hope.
"You are to be the mother of a new pack," Jack said. "A pack that will change the course of our kind. You are to lead them, to guide them, to protect them. And I am here to help you."
Ava felt a sense of awe wash over her. She had always felt like there was something special about her, something different. And now, it seemed like she had a purpose.
"I don't know if I'm ready for this," she said, her voice small.
"You are ready," Jack said, his voice full of confidence. "And you are not alone. I will be with you every step of the way."
And with that, Jack disappeared into the darkness. Ava was left alone in the cabin, feeling like her life had just taken a sharp turn. She didn't know what the future held, but she knew one thing for sure. She was no longer running away. She was running towards something, something that was bigger than herself.
Ava spent the next few weeks in the cabin, waiting for Jack to return. She didn't know what was going to happen, but she felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. For the first time in a long time, she felt like she had a purpose.
One night, as she was sitting by the fire, she heard a noise outside. She got up and walked to the door, peering out into the darkness. And that's when she saw them.
There were five wolves, all different sizes and colors. They were all staring at her, their eyes shining in the darkness. Ava felt a sense of fear wash over her. She didn't know who these wolves were, or what they wanted.
But then, one of the wolves stepped forward. It was a beautiful white wolf, with piercing blue eyes. Ava felt a sense of recognition as she looked at him.
"Hello, Ava," the white wolf said, his voice deep and commanding.
"Who are you?" Ava asked, feeling like she should know him.
"My name is Odin," the white wolf said. "And we are here to join your pack."
Ava felt a sense of shock wash over her. She had never even thought about starting a pack. But now, it seemed like the universe was conspiring to make it happen.
"Why do you want to join join my pack?" she asked, feeling like she needed to be cautious.
"We have heard of your destiny," Odin said. "We believe that you are the one we have been waiting for. The one who will lead us into a new era."
Ava felt like she was in a dream. She had never thought of herself as a leader, but now it seemed like it was her destiny.
