Chapter 68 - Four Rivals

Elric glanced up at the stage. The same girl he'd previously asked to help with the radio ad was standing at center stage.

She wore a flowing golden dress that looked way too showy when compared to the rest of her bandmates, who were wearing plaid dress shirts.

Unlike the odd synergy Ember had with the outfits of her bandmates, Leslie's outfit came off as a bit tacky.

Still, that didn't matter too much when she started singing. Her stuck-up attitude from before wasn't completely for show.

The girl's trained, smooth voice flowed like a stream, drawing in the ears of listeners. She held every note just as long as she needed to and kept up with the quick pace of her bandmates.

Speaking of which, it was a bit of an odd setup. Most of the pop bands performing used physical instruments, but Leslie's crew only used keyboards with pre-recorded instrument sounds.

Even if it somewhat took away from the atmosphere, it could allow them to quickly shift gears when moving between songs.
