West's expression looked hollow as Eira walked back over to Elric and Ember. Elric was still having some trouble holding in his laughter as he watched his buddy's misfortune.

"Hmph, it's good to cause some trouble for this guy, he's the one who made me come out here!"

She raised up her hand, asking for a fist bump from Ember.

"You've gotta keep these guys on their toes, right?"

Ember looked hesitant, but still knocked hands with the other girl. Ember narrowed her eyes, examining Eira up and down.

Her hair had been dyed the same icy-blue color as her dress, and fell down in a smooth wave, reaching below her shoulders.

From her facial structure, Ember almost felt like she's gained a sister, and Eira's eyes were also eye-catching and unusual. Her pupils were a deep violet color, and a small spark of orange crackled through them, drawing in the gaze of anyone who looked too closely.

Just as the group was standing around, another car pulled up behind them. A young man stepped out from a stylish red sports car, then immediately made his presence known as he called out to West.

"Hey, if it isn't Tony! How's it going, man?"

The newcomer tossed his keys to one of the butlers, who was helping the passenger disembark from the car.

Instead of it being a woman a similar age to the young man- who looked to be in his early to mid-twenties- it was a child.

West hurriedly tried to compose himself, then walked over to greet the man.

"Malcom! It's been a while. How's the family?"

The newcomer lifted up the child, then held her out for West to see.

"Look at my daughter!"

The kid reached her hands out toward West, and the young Villainous couldn't help but crack a smile.

"They grow so fast, I still remember when she was just a baby. Aye, I feel old now…"

West turned to Elric and the girls, beckoning them over to greet Malcom.

"Elric, Ember, Eira, this is Malcom and his daughter Amber. Malcolm is the owner of Nelthilis Fashion, I think I mentioned them to you."

Elric tried to hide his frown as he heard West's words. The aforementioned fashion company was West's biggest rival and was the one that was home to Ned, the guy they wanted to investigate.

"Wow, you sure managed to invite quite the company this time, Tony. Is one of these lovely ladies your partner for tonight?"

West shifted a bit.

"I thi-"

Before he could finish speaking, Eira stepped forward to shake Malcom's hand.

"Hello, sir. I'll be Tony's partner for tonight~"

Eira crouched down to pat Amber's head, and the kid jumped happily.

"Yay! Pretty girl!"

Ember also walked over and crouched down next to the kid.

Malcom chuckled as he watched the duo entertain his kid.

"Ahh, I'm sure my wife would happily sell off her car if she could look like the two of you again. But, there's no stopping time. Besides, looks aren't everything."

Malcom put his hand on his back, and West scoffed at him.

"You're still young, and so is your wife! What are you on about with this aging stuff? You just want to humblebrag about being in a loving relationship!"

Malcom shrugged.

"Hey, you've got someone right over there too, right? Why not make a family with her?"

West's face darkened a bit.

"I'm not sure that's possible."

Malcom took a step back, a concerned expression on his face.

"Ah, I'm sorry. I don't want to pry. Let's head inside and see who else is here."

The two fashion managers headed for the entrance first, leaving Elric behind with the ladies and Amber. The little girl looked to be about four years old and could walk on her own, but none of them wanted to lose the kid in the crowds inside the building.

Eira scooped the girl up into her arms, then the trio walked toward the entrance.

The butlers had already seen their conversation with the two fashion managers and didn't hassle them on their way in.

"Wow… this place is huge!"

The mansion opened up into an enormous entryway, and it was packed with people. A huge golden arch stood over the entrance before the room opened up. Off to one side, Elric could see a luxurious bar with a small crowd gathered around to wait for drinks, and toward the back was a massive glass spiral staircase. It circled around a carved rock sculpture standing near the center of the room.

Both Ember and Eira looked just as surprised as they looked around the huge space. There was so much to see… but even still, there seemed to be two things missing.

"Can either of you see West or that Malcom dude anywhere?"

Both talent managers had disappeared into the crowd, leaving the trio to deal with Malcom's kid.

"He seemed like such a responsible dude right away, too…"

Amber, who was being held by Eira, struggled a bit, pointing to someone a few meters away.

"Look, that's my big uncle! Papa says he's a.. direcor… dirett. Director!"

"Really? That's pretty cool, let's go say hi to him!"

Elric's eyes continuously scanned the crowd as he followed after the girls, trying to pick out important people to greet.

It wasn't only Ned that he wanted to see.

This was the perfect chance to make some connections, and he had braved a nasty concussion headache to research potential attendees who could be useful for their progression.

As he looked around now, though, he couldn't pick anyone out of the crowd.

'Actor, actor… I think this guy over here is a director, too. There are a lot of people in the film industry here. These are good connections to have too, but I'm looking for a producer…'

Elric was unable to find anyone before they arrived in front of the man Amber had pointed out.
