Almost half an hour later, Elric finally recovered and was ready for round two, but Ember was starting to look tired. Her back was covered in a slick sweat, and her hands were shaking as she reached her arms around Elric's back.
The young man pulled himself up in the bed until he was even with Ember again.
"Well then, do you admit defeat now?"
His reawakened dragon brushed along Ember's thigh, and she leaned in to press her skin against it.
"Never…"
Her voice trailed off for a moment, and she shot a devious smile at Elric.
"Heh, I'm going to make you shout loud enough that the noise-canceling walls won't help!"
Elric only shrugged.
"I'm pretty sure you've already done that a few times tonight, Ember. I think you might owe a thank you to Ivan, otherwise, Dad might look at you a bit differently in the morning."
Peliston had once again gone out to hang out with his old buddy, leaving the house to the two youngsters.
