The Wilson family members were met with curious gazes, which made them feel embarrassed and then quickly enraged. Daniel's glare towards Jayson was filled with intense hatred, if looks could kill, Jayson would have died one hundred times.
Jayson's regrettable tone broke the silence, "If you are not here to kneel, then I will return to my room; I am not free." He turned around, ready to leave.
Elena couldn't bear to see him go and called out to him anxiously, "Wait!"
Jayson turned around, pretending to be accommodating and replied, "Since you want me to wait, I will."
Elena glanced at her family, who all wore expressions of reluctance. Even Mrs. Wilson, who had initially charged them on, appeared unwilling. With determination, Elena gritted her teeth and fell on her knees, causing gasps to fill the air. Mrs. Wilson's face turned ashen, and Lucy was too overcome to follow suit.
"Get down on your knees," Mrs. Wilson ordered, clenching her jaws. Daniel glared at Jayson as he stood up straight. When Mrs. Wilson fell to her knees, Jayson ridiculed him, saying, "Why are you still standing? Do you think you're better than those who kneel? Tsk! Tsk! The young master of the Wilson family is so powerful that even his mother can't compare."
Daniel was taken aback by Jayson's venomous and scheming words, and his face turned pale. He wondered where Jayson had learned to speak so wickedly.
Mrs. Wilson grew increasingly irritated as Daniel continued to stand, prolonging their embarrassing situation. She threatened him, "If you don't kneel, I'll block all your credit and debit cards."
Jayson was initially satisfied when the Wilson family knelt before him, but his expression quickly turned to shock. "Mother, why are you kneeling? I Didn't say you should kneel at all? Please get up!" Jayson hurriedly moved forward to assist Mrs. Wilson in standing. He then turned his attention to the others and exclaimed, "Why is everyone kneeling? Please stand up!"
The Wilson family members were perplexed as they gazed at Jayson. They couldn't comprehend what was happening. Was this the same brat who had forced them to kneel before him, or was he under some kind of possession? These queries swirled in their minds.
Jayson's face contorted with frustration as he expressed his grievances. "Mother, why did you all kneel? If I had known, I wouldn't have allowed it," he said with a hint of innocence.
The Wilson family members remained stunned and looked at him in disbelief. Mrs. Wilson's face turned dark, and she felt embarrassed by the mocking stares they were receiving. She quickly put on a facade of a kind senior and said, "Jayson, you have nothing to regret. As a son-in-law of the Wilson family, you deserve to be treated with respect. Even if you ask for the stars, we will do our best to make it happen. If it's money you need, just say the word."
Jayson's eyes lit up with greed at the mention of money, and the rest of the Wilson family grew uneasy at the expression on his face.
Jayson's eyes shone with excitement as he turned to Mrs. Wilson and asked, "Did you really mean what you said?" Mrs. Wilson hesitated, regretting her earlier words, but eventually nodded, unable to deny the truth.
Jayson's eyes grew even brighter, causing concern for the Wilson family. However, he quickly regained his composure and requested their help. "I just bought some new outfits and hired a helper. If the Wilson family could lend a hand, that would be fantastic."
Elena immediately offered their assistance, eager to do whatever it takes to bring Jayson back home.
Meanwhile, Daniel and Lucy glared at Jayson, still angry about their recent punishment of kneeling before a thrash like Jayson.
"Okay then, if you insist," Jayson said, pulling out a receipt from his pocket and handing it to Elena.
As Elena held the receipt in her hands, everyone's eyes fixated on it. Daniel's eyes widened in shock, almost bulging out of their sockets.
"Four million dollars?!" he exclaimed incredulously. He glared at Jayson and snapped, "Who do you think you are? Trying to act like a big shot? Do you want to visit heavens with the outfits?"
But Jayson paid no attention to Daniel's outburst. He had no say in the decision-making process, and Daniel's opinion held little weight in the Wilson family.
Jayson gestured towards Jao, the servant he had hired, and said, "You can confirm with him how much his salary is."
The Wilson family members turned to Jao, shooting him suspicious glances. They blinked in confusion, wondering how this scrawny young man could be of any help to Jayson. Only Daniel wore a strange expression, knowing all too well how dangerous Jao could be.
After Elena regained consciousness, she asked Jao a straightforward question, "What is your monthly salary?"
Jao lifted a finger, causing the Wilson family to breathe a sigh of relief. They were worried about having to spend more money to persuade Jayson to return to their mansion.
"I earn one million dollars," Jao finally answered, speaking the words that previously only appeared under his raised finger.
The Wilson family was stunned, their expressions turning from shock to anger. They glared at Jayson as if he were a thief.
"Jayson, are you playing games with us?" Mrs. Wilson shouted in fury. "How can someone like him, who appears to be a beggar, be worth one million dollars?"
The more they looked at Jao, the more they thought it was inconceivable.
Jayson couldn't be bothered to negotiate with them and responded lazily, "Then we don't need to waste each other's time." He turned to leave, but Elena's voice halted him in his tracks.
"Wait, we'll pay," she said. The rest of the Wilson family glared at Elena with fury. Elena whispered to them, "Mom, we'll take all his clothes and sell them when he returns to the mansion, and we'll also kick out that beggar."
The planners' suggestions appeased the Wilson family, and Elena quickly completed the transaction. Jayson smirked, having swindled 5 million dollars from the Wilsons. He would play the part of their son-in-law for a while longer. "Alright, I'll be heading home soon."
