Chapter 2 - STARING AT SOMEONE

AT that moment BELL RANG

Next lecture was a self study session.

Xulai gracefully rose from her seat and exited the room, intending to escape from him utilize this opportunity to go library. Yet, she was interrupted , within the blink of an eye, two individuals dragged her out.

three of them rushed out catch their breathe and start laughing when their eyes met

a pretty calm voice came from the one the person who dragged xulai outside" hii , myself VIVIAN"

and "me amy" she said in a cheerful manner.

Xulai was kinda finding her way out from that staring incident, thinking in her mind how awkward it was that made her heart beat fast.

vivian was kinda clever enough to read the room , she smirked at xulai

Xulai couldn't help but laugh. "Thank you,

Curious, Amy inquired, "For what?"

Vivian's laughter rang out, laden with insight. "Oh, we know exactly for what..."

Xulai, her mind still preoccupied with the previous scenario, absently waved her hand, attempting to disperse the flush that had painted her cheeks in embarrassment.

Vivian offered a reassuring pat on her back. "Still lost in thought?"

Caught off guard, Xulai's cheeks grew warmer again.

With a playful lilt, Amy removed her lollipop from her mouth and winked at Xulai. "We're well aware of your thought process."

vivian was kinda straightforward girl, she said in a teasing manner- were you thinking about that domineering boy next to you hm ?

Xulai stammered, her words caught in a tangled web. "I-it was just... just..."

Vivian and Amy maintained their gaze, prompting Xulai to find her voice sooner rather than later.

Flushing even deeper, Xulai admitted, "He was the one who kept staring at me."

Vivian, not one to let things slide, playfully quipped, "Then, would you tell, why were your ears equally flushed?"

Averting her gaze, Xulai struggled to explain. "You're misunderstanding... he just seemed so oddly familiar, as if I've encountered him before..."

Amy's curiosity persisted. "Really? Where are you originally from?"

"I'm from Shanghai, but I briefly lived in the US with family and relatives due to my father's job. We had to return when he secured a position at his former school, primarily to alleviate the financial strain stemming from my mother's kidney transplant expenses."

Vivian empathized, noting, "I've heard medical expenses can be quite burdensome there. Traditional practices here in China tend to be more cost-effective."

With a hint of amusement, she continued, "Adapting swiftly can indeed be a challenge, but don't worry; we're here to lend a helping hand."

Amy couldn't resist a playful jibe. "First things first, though. Let's talk about your intriguing desk partner."

Xulai attempted to halt their teasing. "No, no need for that, guys. What are you going to tell me?"

Amy teased, "Oh, so you're curious?"

Xulai pondered, "Well, perhaps..."

Unbeknownst to her, just behind, her line of sight caught the presence of a commanding figure leaning casually against the classroom door. ANW approached, placing a hand on that domineering shoulder. "What has captured your attention, Avel?"

Avel's response resonated with an air of amusement. "Just observing some interesting dynamics."

alan sighed " dynamics? come on she is not a physics. it is a human ."

avel smirked while placing his hand on his soft yet tempting lips" whatever, as long that caught my eyes"

Alan, who had walked over, sighed in response, his demeanor markedly transformed. Truly, he is totally a changed individual. now"
