"Wait... What?" Asher pulled back to look at Beau. "Are you serious?"
"Does it sound like a joke to you?"
"We can swim in this river?!" Asher asked in excitement.
"Yeah. Can you swim?" Beau was expecting a positive response or the usual I-am-still-learning response most people delivered, but he was stunned at the reply he got.
"No, I don't. And before you ask, no, I have never tried swimming."
Beau's jaw dropped. "Wait... Are you a hermit?"
Asher chuckled. "Shut up. I learn pretty fast. Just tell me the basics."
"Okay. Take off your clothes... I mean, take off your clothes so that we can, you know, start the basics."
Asher giggled as he heard the last part of the explanation. He could only imagine what was running through Beau's head. "I understood you the first time, you know."
"Oh... Okay. Just wanted to be clear."
"It's still okay if we take our clothes for, you know..."
