Chapter 1 - The perfect Omega

Omegas are inefficient as heroes – That is the deeply ingrained concept that has convinced the population to alienate omegas from equality for many years. Omegas are portrayed as delicate sensual beings, a gender meant to submit. Society has kept this view as empirical fact, until the enigma that is All Might came along.

All Might is the number one hero, a hero with both charm and power, an honorable figure respected and adored by everyone. He is also the alpha that shone light to the prejudice of omegas, motivating those that contradict the view to speak up. Thus the minorities became brave, sharing their struggles, views and resolution of the concept. With it, a community is born. A belief that omegas deserve equality, that they are not just vessels used for Alphas & Betas, they are an independent and capable being, able to do just as much as the other secondary-genders.

Kirishima Eijiro is a male Omega born in a family that obeys the olden views. He grew up enveloped in the ideals of timid Omega, his mother would always tell him stories on how one day, he'll find the perfect Alpha. An alpha that is strong, caring, and able to cherish and protect him wholly.

Kirishima would smile, obedient that he is and agree along with her. But deep down, he always thought differently, if he has an Alpha, he wants to love and protect them just as much as they would to him.

When his quirk manifested, Kirishima was ecstatic. Completely ignoring the nick on his lids; he ran to his parents, showing them his hardened palms with a megawatt smile. Though instead of being happy for him, his father and mother looked mortified, instantly fretting over the bleeding wound – If it leaves a scar Ei would have a hard time finding an alpha!

Turns out it did leave a scar, a perfect matching set to his heart.

--

His parents never let him train his quirk – You don't need it, that's an alpha's job – Instead his mother would tutor him on becoming the perfect Omega. Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon Kirishima would learn the etiquettes along with skills of a proper Omega.

On Tuesday he learns the art of tea ceremony, along with posture, bowing and Seiza. On Thursday he learns how to cook, along with proper table manners.

His mother would also encourage him to groom himself, to always brush his hair every night, scrub his skin smooth, and keep his body lean.

Kirishima would do all that, and excuse himself to train privately on the public training ground. There, he would lift weights and learn combat moves, building muscles over the years of hard work.

--

Kirishima was walking home from his middle school graduation one day when All Might appeared. He was on a street bombarded by fans and reporters alike, giving a speech after he apparently saved a middle-schooler from a villain attack. All Might was sparkly in person, his Alpha scent dominating yet assuring.

" -That is why second-genders does not matter, this reckless yet brave young Omega, took action when the other heroes didn't. He went ahead and saved this young man regardless of his instinct! You did a great job my boy." Kirishima heard him say, he tried catching a glimpse of the middle-schooler but alas the sea of people was too thick for him to wade through.

"-Remember, second-genders does not define who you are as a person or as a hero, it is only an extra addition to who you already are, don't let ideologies chain you young ones! You can become anything you want, all you have to do is believe in yourself, and act upon it!"

Kirishma felt excitement spark at those words, alighting his dim embers. All Might is right!

The burning boldness took him to the supermarket that day, purchasing a bottle of hair dye and hair gel; Kirishima bolted home with a new purpose in mind.

--

"EIJIRO! What happened to your hair?!" his mother yelled, her expression mortified.

"Hm? Nothing. I'm just trying something new…" He brushed through his now red locks. Maybe he should spike it, that'll look so badass.

"What do you mean trying something new?! You look like a delinquent Ei… do you really want to bring this image when you enroll UA? Entrance exam is tomorrow." His father scolds.

"I think I'll be fine dad, it's not like colored hairs is out of the ordinary…" he sipped his miso soup; he has a hunch it's not about UA.

His father side-eyed him in dismay, Offended by his tone.

Kirishima quickly stood and bowed "I'm sorry for my tone father."

"Just don't do it again." The alpha scoffed back, Ei gave a nod and went to sit back down obediently.

"Look, Eijiro. This image… it's too flashy for an Omega, Are you doing this because you're not confident about your second-gender?" his mother clutched his shoulder, a distressed look streaking across her face.

He knew it. It circled back to being a timid omega.

"No mom. I'm proud of being an Omega, I would never deny who I am.. I'm doing this for me, I feel happier with this hair, brighter… I feel more noticeable and less plain this way." He twirled a lock around his finger, bowing his head in an anxious gesture.

"Oh…Ei, sweetie, Listen to me. You're perfect the way you are." His mother hugged him.

Somehow those words didn't assure him.

Why can't they just accept him the way he is now?

--

"I'll be going mom, see you!" Kiri bowed before exiting the house, he ran full speed towards the train station.

He can never sport his spikes in front of his parents, so his routine from now on would to always arrive at the train station early - the spikes take time to structure after all.

But now, overall Kirishima is a proud Omega. He earned his way to the top chart of UA! He's enrolled in the best hero high school through his own power and determination! At first his parents were against him entering the hero course, but eventually Kirishima convinced them that being a hero doesn't always mean he had to fight villains, he can also take rescue missions- which were deemed 'safer' or 'Omega-like' for his parent's standards.

--

He felt jitters coursing through his veins, today is the day. The first day of high school. He wonders what his classmates would be like…

"Good morning! My name is Kirishima Eijiro, it's great to make your acquaintance!" He loudly declares, bowing on the entrance of class 1-A.

The class gave a synonymous chorus of 'nice to meet you too Kirishima' and he gave a huge grin in return.

Kirishima took a subtle whiff, determining the mix of scents in the class. So far everybody smelt tame, no aggression leaking in the air. He smelt lots of Alphas and Betas in this class though, and very few omegas… He hopes there's more. Kiri skipped to his desk – So far he had a good feeling about this class.

"Hey man, that was some sick entrance! The name's Kaminari Denki, nice to meet you!" A man with striking yellow hair and bolt highlights greeted from the seat in front of him.

"Nice to meet you too Denki! Hope we have a great school year together!"

At that moment a sudden loud slam brought everyone's attention to the door. A man with ash blonde spikes and red eyes bore his gaze across the room, the scent of territorial alpha clear in his wake.

"I'm here to be number one, so stay the fuck out of my way." The alpha grunts before making his way to a table and crudely resting his legs atop the pristine desk.

The class gave a low murmur, a man with glasses gestured wildly with his hands at the ill-mannered newcomer - screaming something about desks towards the blonde.

"-Yo, isn't he the guy that scored first in the entrance exam?" a man with short black hair and a toothy smile joined in.

"Yeah, Bakugo Katsuki right? Man… he doesn't act like a hero at all." Kaminari huffed "--Oh! Kiri, I haven't introduced you to Sero, this is Hanta Sero." He tugged his palm towards Sero.

"-Pfft! Kami, let him do it himself. Don't force it…" Sero pointed at his caged wrist.

"Oh! Sorry~ was too excited, we're going to be the best bros ever!!"

Kirishima gave a giggle, these people are a riot! He loves it.

"Nice to meet you Sero, I'm Kirishima Eijiro, you can call me Kiri for short." He shook the –he sniffed– Alpha's hand.

Kirishima suddenly tensed when he caught another whiff - his attention piqued on the sudden smell of distressed Omega. What's going on...? He whipped his head towards the door, spotting the short male with curly green hair fidgeting on the foot of the doorway.

--

...It's just his luck to be in a class with Kacchan and glasses dude. Midoriya sighed, he needs to calm down, he's probably pumping major distressed pheromones…

"Excuse me, are you alright?" a hand touched his elbow.

Midoriya let out a shriek "Ah! I'm sorry for blocking the doorway, uh… please, come in." he sidestepped, offering space for the person to enter.

"No, it's fine, Let's go inside." A warm yet cold pheromone enveloped him in an attempt to calm him down. Midoriya finally glanced at the person, his heart thudding upon seeing the Alpha.

The first thing he noticed is the burn mark on his left side – somehow accentuating his bright blue eyes. The Alpha's heterochromia eyes glanced down to his own green ones "Are you calm now?" a smile crossed his lips.

"Ah…yeah, thank you." Midoriya replied, dazed.

"You! Freckled man, I smell distress, are you alright?" Glasses dude greeted him upon entering, gesturing wildly with his hand.

"Ah… yeah, I'm fine, sorry for being a burden. And it's Midoriya Izuku, nice to meet you." he offered his palm.

"Yes certainly, I'm glad you're fine. My name is Tenya Iida, but you can call me Iida." the Alpha shook his palm with impassioned vigour.

"OI DEKU!" Kacchan commanded the surrounding, bringing the attention of the class towards him - "Can you not burden anyone for one fucking second? Thanks."

Midoriya felt a rush of shame warming his face, his pores steadily pumping distressed pheromones. Dammit, Kacchan is right… He was stewing in silence when a warm hand grabbed his shoulder, "You'll be fine." Midoriya smelled a gush of Alpha pheromones; instantly cooling him down, he felt safe.

The class door suddenly opens to a rugged man with long black hair "Good morning students, took you long enough to be quiet. From today on I'm your homeroom teacher, call me Mr. Aizawa." His introduction effectively ceased the chatter in the class, with students quickly going back to their respective seats.

--

Bakugo never really cared about secondary-genders, it was just his luck to present as an Alpha. And all the things people say about Omegas being weak are utter bullshit. He knows that, because he's sitting in a class with Deku and the other six Omegas that managed to pass the entrance exam, and probably more from class B.

He's in UA because he respects All Might and his ideology of Omegas being just as capable as the other genders. He even tries to apply it to his actions, because Bakugo is more human than you think.

But when it comes to Deku, it's a different story. The little shit's too much of a stereotypical Omega for his liking. Frail as fuck, always crying, always nervous, always riding his coattails, he fucking despised it.

Deku 'saving' him from the glob monster doesn't count because in the end he was stupid enough to jump in without a plan, much less a quirk to defend his puny ass. Fucking idiotic. All Might ended up saving them anyways, fucking Omega.

A tap on his shoulder snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Hey man, the name's Kirishima Eijiro! You were so manly at training today, we should go spar sometimes!"

He remembers this Omega, the shitty hair is a given. His quirk was also pretty handy, "Tch, whatever." He shrugged the hand off.

The Omega gave a giggle, "Alright, how about after lunch tomorrow?"

He gave a glare, testing the Omega's wits.

Despite his glare shitty hair remained still, his posture relaxed the Omega sporting a soft smile towards him instead.

"Fine, if you're so thirsty for it then whatever,"

"Great! We should have lunch together, Kami and Sero will be there with me."

Why is this Omega so persistent? Goddamn it's annoying… "Fucking fine, just leave me alone."

Shitty hair beamed at him then bowed, before walking back towards his desk.

Bakugo scoffed, that Omega is too proper for his own good.
