Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 - Coby Sets Out on a New Adventure

Some time ago, at Isshin Dojo, I sat in front of my master who had taught me the art of swordsmanship and provided me with my first home in this world.

Master Koshiro looked at me seriously and asked, "So, Coby, are you going to leave today?" with concern in his eyes.

After hearing Master Koshiro's question, I replied, "Yes, Master, I will leave this morning and return to my hometown."

Master Koshiro nodded, understanding my decision. "I understand, Coby. After undergoing intensive training here for 4 years, you must have many things you want to do in your hometown."

I smiled and nodded, feeling grateful for Master Koshiro's support and understanding. "Thank you, Master, for all your guidance during my time here. I will never forget the values you have taught me."

Master Koshiro looked at me with pride. "Coby, you have shown remarkable perseverance and spirit in your training. I am confident that you will continue your journey with courage and wisdom. Remember, true strength lies not only in the sword but also within yourself."

His words motivated me even more. I promised myself to continue to grow and face challenges with the same determination taught by Master Koshiro.

"I will embark on this journey with spirit and bravery, Master," I said confidently. "I hope that when I return to this Dojo, I can showcase the progress I have made."

Master Koshiro smiled proudly. "I look forward to that day, Coby. But remember, do not forget to stay safe and always train yourself diligently. The world is full of wonders and dangers you have yet to encounter. Be a wise and courageous swordsman."

I nodded, respecting Master Koshiro's final words. "Thank you, Master. I will always remember your advice and proceed with caution."

After bowing my head and expressing gratitude to my master for his boundless care, providing me with a safe place called home, and training me to be strong in this world, I stood up with a heavy heart. As I closed the door, my tears flowed uncontrollably.

After bidding farewell to the Dojo for the last time, I hurried with my belongings to the small port in the village of Shimotsuki. There, I saw Kuina, Zoro, and my Dojo friends waiting.

"Hey, guys!" I greeted them with excitement, although my heart was filled with sadness about the separation. "I didn't expect you all to see me off."

Kuina smiled warmly as she approached me. "Of course, we will see you off, Coby. You are our friend and part of the Isshin Dojo family. We wouldn't miss this moment."

Zoro, usually silent, gave a small salute and said, "Farewell, Coby. Do not slack in your training and stay strong on your journey. When we meet again, I hope you won't be weak."

Other Dojo friends also gave warm farewell wishes and hopeful prayers. They provided me with encouragement and the spirit to continue this journey.

"I will miss all of you," I said with a trembling voice. "You have become my family. I promise to keep training and show the progress I have made when I return."

Kuina hugged me tightly and said softly, "Take care of yourself, Coby. Don't forget your dreams and keep fighting to achieve them. I know you will become a great swordsman."

In her warm embrace, I felt the support and love from my friends. Although my heart was sad to leave them, I also felt fortunate to have had them by my side all this time.

"I'll only be gone for a few months, Kuina.

I'll send letters in a few months, and once I finish my business, I'll come back here. No need to be too sad," I reassured Kuina.

After Kuina's accident a year ago, somehow she became very close to me. Sometimes, after we finished training together and just chatted, I intentionally teased her during our conversations, and I'm sure I saw a hint of a blush on her cheeks.

After an emotional farewell, we walked towards the small port. I saw the ship waiting at the end of the dock, ready to take me on my next adventure.

"Take care, Coby!" shouted my Dojo friends, waving their hands.

With teary eyes, I replied, "Thank you for everything! I will return and show how far I have progressed!"

I boarded the ship with a pounding heart, watching my Dojo friends grow distant. However, deep in my heart, I knew that the friendship and bond we shared would never fade, even with distance separating us.

My new journey began, filled with challenges and opportunities. With a burning resolve, the ship sailed towards the boundless horizon, carrying hope and dreams in my spirited heart.
