I couldn't help but fall still for a few moments. I looked at him as he stared onto the floor with his eyes full of unsaid emotions. He looked helpless.
"There's no way to break the curse," he added.
My chest hurt even more. I gulped to keep it all away. I have always thought showing your pity to someone would make them feel awful. That is why I wanted to stop the tears from flowing down my eyes.
I don't even know why I feel very much affected by this.
Maybe because of the times when I have seen that he was frustrated about being on the throne.
Times where I have witnessed the damage that it has done to him. The things that he wasn't able to do. All because he was cursed and forced to stay out of the palace.
And now that I have known the reason for all of this, I couldn't help the pain in my chest.
'Why did this happen?' I asked him. His eyes lazily looked at my hands and went back to the floor. He let out a deep sigh.
