He reached for some paperwork and started skimming through it. "Uchiha Sasuke, age fourteen, 5'8. Exceptional grades and consistently in the top three of your school for all physical tests. Quirk: Susanoo, emitter type that awakened when you were nine. A combination of your father's Bone Pulse and your mother's Transmogrification. Susanoo lets the user manifest purple energy around oneself in the form of ribs and arms, it also turns the user's eyes red for some reason. Do you know why?"
"My eyes turning red is just a mutation, it doesn't affect anything."
Aizawa put the paper behind the stack and read the next. His brow raised, which didn't escape Sasuke's sight. After reading it he looked up at Sasuke and leaned forward, "Reports say that you were labeled quirkless by a doctor when you were five, but miraculously you soon awakened a quirk anyways."
Sasuke gritted his teeth and Aizawa pushed more, "It's really rare to have a second quirk, but four years later you awakened one, the same night All For One killed your parents."
Sasuke glared at him and his gaze lowered. Aizawa met his glare, "And today during the practical test you didn't use your first quirk at all. Even though having two quirks is a big reason why the government recommended you."
Sasuke's mouth tensed further and Aizawa showed him his papers, "It says here that your first quirks ability is—"
"I DON'T HAVE ANOTHER QUIRK!" Sasuke gritted his teeth and his eyes glinted red, but they quickly returned to normal when Aizawa's eyes turned red. His cloth scarf and hair started floating a little and his face remained neutral.
"Hey calm down, Sasuke. I'm just asking questions. If you come off as mentally unstable then you won't be accepted into UA."
Sasuke took a deep breath and his brow eased up. "Mm…" Aizawa read to the bottom of the page and placed the paper on a desk next to him. "Sorry for what happened to your parents. It must have been rough," his eyes peered directly into Sasuke's searching for something, "Is this part of your inspiration for wanting to become a hero?"
Sasuke became silent, 'Why I want to become a hero... the reason why is...' he looked down at the floor, similar to when he looked down at the bodies of his dead mother and father. The blood flowed out of their bodies surrounding his feet. He froze up and his hands felt sweaty. He smelled the overbearing copper-like scent of fresh blood and he could feel it soaking his shoes.
He shut his eyes, and after a few moments, they had disappeared as quickly as they came. The floor returned to a brown color and his shoes were dry. He looked up at Aizawa, 'The reason why is to kill that man, and everyone else that contributed to my parent's deaths... although that isn't a good answer for an interview.'
Sasuke fidgeted in his chair and cleared his throat, "Of course, it's part of my inspiration for wanting to become a hero. What happened to my parents shouldn't happen to anyone," He clenched his fist in front of his face and his expression hardened, "I want to root out all of that evil, and destroy it."
Aizawa narrowed his eyes, "And when it comes to All For One specifically, you don't plan on trying to hunt him down do you?"
Sasuke's fingers intertwined in front of his face and his elbows sat on his knees subconsciously which Aizawa took note of, "If I come across him, I'll give it my all to capture him, but trying to find him on my own won't get me anywhere."
In Sasuke's head a much different answer came to mind, 'If I come across All For One on my own I'll strike him down on the spot, it's my responsibility to kill him.'
Aizawa's forehead tensed a little, 'That look in your eye... This kid is definitely going to do something stupid in the future, and he seems determined enough to try it whether or not he gets accepted into UA,' his eyelids lowered.
"Hmm… Well, the interview is over. You may go back home now." Sasuke stood up and left.
Once he returned home he rushed to the workout room with his eyes turned red. He gazed down and tried to focus his power on his legs, but after a few minutes of grunting and no results he sighed and took a break.
He sat down on the floor and put a hand under his chin, 'How can I try to speed up this process?'
His mind raced through all of his memories of training, but he ultimately came up with nothing, and his brow furrowed.
He left the gym and went to his room and looked for the remote. After going through the hassle of finding it his eyes went wide as he remembered something. His mom had always used her quirk for very casual things. Like making a hand to grab a remote too far away, or manifesting household items instead of having to buy one.
Sasuke tilted his head, "Hey Mom, how are you able to make all of these things? Do you think I'll be able to do that too?"
She turned towards him and put a finger under her mouth and looked up for a moment, "Hmm… Well, it comes naturally so it's hard to put into words. If I had to describe it, it's like channeling the energy all throughout my body and increasing the output on one part of my body to use it as I please," She smiled and ruffled his hair, "With your quirk, I doubt you'll ever have to do anything like that though."
Sasuke went back into the workout room, 'Thank you, Mom,' His eyes softened for a moment, 'If only I awakened my quirk earlier, then maybe things would have been different.'
He stood in the middle of the room and closed his eyes before taking a deep breath. Once they opened they were red and energy started coursing throughout Sasuke's body. It was inconsistent and there was hardly any energy, but it was progressing. He smirked and glanced at the calendar across the room. 'In three months School will start. Since it's the top school in the country there better not be anyone in the class who will hold me back,' he snickered, 'I won't get my hopes up though.'
The next month Sasuke jogged to his favorite seaside park. An old beach left to rot for whatever number of years. There was junk built up everywhere and it worked as the perfect place to test his quirk out since it's not something that can be practiced at home without destroying everything.
As he arrived at the entrance he blinked a couple of times, 'It seems like there's a lot less junk here than I remember.'
He made his way down to the beach and started looking for a good sturdy fridge to punch hard. "Keep going Midoriya!"
The voice made Sasuke's head poke up and he started looking around for the source.
You aren't going to make it into UA like that! Use your legs to lift, not your back!"
Sasuke got closer to the source of the voice and peered his head out from behind a broken laundry machine and saw Midoriya carrying around scrap while All Might yelled at him like a drill sergeant.
'Come to think of it, Midoriya. You look like you've gained mass in school over the past few months, and did you have a quirk the whole time after all? Did it awaken late like mine?'
Midoriya loaded up more scrap on the truck and Sasuke closed his eyes and chuckled quietly before going back to his normal training routine. If anyone can get Midoriya to train then who better than his idol?
Sasuke started to use his skeletal arms to test how good his punching power and speed were. As his lack of furniture in his room indicates, he clearly has no friends so his only choice is to train alone. Which hinders his potential combat training.
He blasted a hole straight through the metal fridge he was hitting and sighed. His eyes skimmed over all of the junk in sight, 'There's nothing else I can improve on here, this junk is too weak to give me a challenge anymore.'
Another month passed and a circular object came in the mail and when it was activated a hologram of Aizawa showed up. Uchiha Sasuke, you came off as unhinged and secretive when I interviewed you," Sasuke's head fell slightly, "Although... you have potential, you got a perfect score on the written test, and you placed second in the practical exam. Also, the government is pulling our arm to try and turn you into the best hero possible. Taking all of this into account the staff here have decided to give you a chance though, so welcome to UA," his eyes looked like they turned red, "Don't misunderstand though, if you step out of line then I won't hesitate to expel you."
The hologram turned off and Sasuke chucked the object into a trashcan. He let out a sigh, "I haven't even started yet and one of the staff seems to hate me."
Sasuke moved to the middle of his workout room. He channeled energy throughout his body seamlessly compared to a month ago when it was very rough.
He tried to focus on flowing more energy into his right arm and purple energy coiled around it. He picked up one of his dumbbells and curled it like a paperweight.
After placing it back on the ground he looked at his arm, 'It's not as strong as a skeletal arm, but it's still useful nonetheless.'
He left the room and got ready for school. After getting dressed and leaving out the door he got an idea and got in a running position. "Now that I've managed to apply it to a basic level on my arms this should be easy."
Light purple energy coiled around his legs and he started sprinting full speed towards the train station. He was a lot more prepared this time so he didn't lose his balance. He wasn't as fast as when he did the exam, but it was still twice as fast as his normal running speed.
Since he was running so fast he had to wait longer for the train to arrive, but that didn't ruin his mood. 'The control over my body is almost perfect compared to the exam when I couldn't control it at all. I'll have to move on to different types of training pretty soon.'
That same afternoon Sasuke sat alone in class eating his lunch when Midoriya approached him with stiff shoulders, "S-Sasuke, you've already done the exam right?"
Sasuke turned his head towards him and got a good look at him up and down, noticing his calloused knuckles and other rough spots, and nodded.
Midoriya loosened up and pulled out his notebook and pencil, "So were you accepted yet?... Sorry, stupid question. Of course you were accepted!"
He kept on mumbling and started talking to himself and Sasuke's eyebrow twitched, "Midoriya, did you have a question?"
"Ah, r-right! So what did you do?"
Sasuke looked away for a moment, "Your test will more than likely be different than mine," Midoriya looked down at the ground, "If you have a written test though, it'll probably be the same though. It's just our basic academics and a few heroics-related questions. You should get a high score for that portion."
Midoriya smiled and rubbed the back of his head, "Alright, t-thanks Sasuke," Midoriya started to scurry away.
"Midoriya."
Deku turned around, "Y-yes?"
Sasuke looked at him with a firm expression, "I've noticed that you've been training at that beach for the past several months."
Midoriya looked like the color drained from his face and his eyes went wide, "N-now You s-see you mis-misunderstand what"— he closed his eyes and put up a hand, "Let me finish. Whatever you have going on with him is your business. All I want to say is that I've noticed you're making your dream become a reality, so if you want to become a hero," his eyes opened, "Then you better pass the exam."
Midoriya straightened up and his mouth was open for a moment. It formed into a smile and determination spread across his face, "I will!"
At UA High School, Principal Nezu was going over the applicants with the other staff. He leaned in after noticing an error in the accepted students, "Huh, it looks like Class 1A has twenty-one students added, breaking the traditional twenty."
Vlad King looked down at the paper and noticed the same thing, "We can't have that happen. We'll have to do something about one of the students."
Nezu pointed at one of the names, "We'll just kick out Rikido Satou then, it's not like he'll contribute anything to the story besides winning a bedroom contest or something anyways."
"Ha, good point."
After Midoriya's acceptance at UA, the school staff called him, Bakugo, and Sasuke to the Faculty room to praise them for their acceptance.
"This means that three kids from our Middle School got into UA. Three. I'm not surprised that Bakugo and Sasuke made it, but Midoriya's acceptance in particular is a miracle among miracles!"
After the teacher finished praising the three of them they all started heading home. Sasuke passed the school gates and Midoriya was about to pass the gates, but Bakugo dragged Midoriya to a corner of the school out of sight. Sasuke noticed it, and was going to ignore it, but decided to check it out. He stood around a wall and listened in.
He grabbed Midoriya's shirt and held him against a wall, "What dirty goddamn trick did you use to pass the exam, Shitheel?!"
Midoriya winced. "That bastard already ruined my chance of being the first and only student to enter UA from this shithole which is bad enough," he grinded his teeth, "But now I have to go to UA with a loser like you too?! I told you to go someplace else, Fuck-munch!"
Sasuke's eyes narrowed and he was about to turn around the corner, but he stopped when Midoriya grabbed Bakugo's arm. Both Sasuke's and Bakugo's eyes widened.
"There are people who have finally acknowledged me. They told me I can become a hero!" He made eye contact with Bakugo and glared, "Y-you can't stop me! I'm headed to UA!"
Bakugo started shaking and his eyes were covered, "You.... Deku," his hand started to spark a little and he raised it as if to attack Midoriya, "Don't get cocky with me you piece of shit!"— Sasuke grabbed his arm, "What do you think you're doing?"
"Sasuke!"
Bakugo grunted and pulled his arm away and turned towards Sasuke with a death glare, "I was supposed to be the first and only one to enter UA you Fuck-head! And you just had to piss all over everything as if you're on my level!"
Sasuke glared, "You aren't owed anything, idiot. You got accepted, didn't you? That's all that matters."
Bakugo's hands sparked, "You parentless smug asshole, you're gonna have to pay right here right now for ripping up my future glory."
Sasuke clenched his fist and snarled at him with a red glint in his eyes, "What the hell did you just call me!?"
Deku started waving his hands rapidly, "H-hey guys listen. We don't have to"—
"Shut up, Deku!"
"Stay out of this, Midoriya."
Midoriya looked on with wide eyes as purple energy surrounded Sasuke, 'I've never seen Sasuke look this mad before. What could have happened to his parents for him to change moods so fast?' Midoriya saw an officer behind the gate, 'Oh no! If he sees this and writes them up then Kachan and Sasuke might not be able to get into UA!'
Midoriya pointed at the cop, "G-guys! If you don't stop, the officer might notice us!"
The two livid teens looked in the direction that Deku pointed at.
Sasuke's eyes narrowed, 'Damn, if we get fined or put in custody for unlicensed public quirk use then that'll just mess up our future at UA,' he glanced at Bakugo and gritted his teeth for a moment before his eyes went back to normal. He pursed his lips, "Tch."
Bakugo looked at the cop. He closed his eyes and gritted his teeth before putting his hands in his pocket and walking away, "Fine, but don't you dare think that this is over!"
Sasuke whispered to himself, "I won't," and started to walk away.
"Uh, um thank you, S-Sasuke, but you didn't have to do that."
He sighed and looked back, "You're probably going to be a future classmate, if you get injured or hospitalized it'll hold the whole class back in case of emergency. Of course I had to do that."
Midoriya rubbed the back of his head and looked to the side. Sasuke left, not waiting for him to say anything else.
Near the end of the month, Sasuke put on his new uniform and arrived at the gates of UA. He took a good look at its sheer size before walking into the building and using a map to reach his class.
When he walked in he saw about ten people in class already. He sat in an empty seat in the back of the class, one seat away from the door.
A tall boy with glasses walked over to him and stretched out a hand, "Hello fellow student! My name is Tenya Iida, what is yours?"
Sasuke glanced at the hand momentarily before shaking it, "Uchiha Sasuke. I prefer to just be called Sasuke though."
"I understand, Sasuke! Let's maintain a proper classmate relationship!"
His eyelids lowered, "Uh, right."
Iida returned to his seat as if on the lookout for other students entering class. Sasuke looked at every student that was in class and recognized two of them from the Recommendation Exam. One was the guy with half red and half white hair that he sat next to, and the other was a girl with a black ponytail.
"My name is Tenya Iida, what's yours?"
Hey Iida! My name's Mina Ashido!"
Hearing the name made Sasuke's eyes go wide and his head jerked in the direction of the door, "Mina?"
She turned to look at the source of the voice and she dropped her bag, "Sasuke?"
