Waking up the next morning with a beautiful, purple-headed beauty in his arms, Kenny smiled and carefully moved off of the bed as Kate was still asleep.
After taking a quick piss and washing his face in the bathroom, Kenny headed for the kitchen, his stomach growling from the "exercise" he went through last night.
The fridge didn't have much on the food side of things, only containing drinks, some condiments and random ingredient items. It was likely that Kate just ordered everything she ate.
Going through the pantry, Kenny managed to find some cereal. He made himself a bowl and sat down on the couch.
Eating breakfast, Kenny had some time to think to himself. Since waking up, he had been in the presence of one or both women and although he enjoyed the company of the beautiful pair, he also liked having time to himself. Especially in a case like this.
While he didn't know Layla as well, Kate already appeared to be developing some feelings for him. It was quite a surprise. In fact, Kenny was starting to believe that even relationships might be completely backwards in this new reality.
Considering how he could just casually have sex with the both of them and show other, non-sexual signs of affection like kissing, the situation regarding relationships made Kenny quite confused.
'Compared to what the system and Galaxy Games are though, those things can be put off for now,' he thought to himself. Even if he wasn't looking to have sex, it looked like he didn't have much of a choice. His strength depended on it, not that he was complaining.
However, considered how good his stats apparently were at level one, he didn't want to increase them too much before coming into contact with other people. Being to strong would attract attention to him. It was better to be safe than sorry.
After spending the night with Kate, his stats also increased once again. Naturally, the boost was not small. Although he could tell now that she was at a lower level than Layla, it wasn't as much as he thought.
"Hmm," Kenny hummed as he finished the bowl. Putting it in the dishwasher, he walked over to the tv only to find he didn't know how to turn it on. There wasn't a remote anywhere and the actual tv didn't have any buttons.
Having nothing to do, Kenny looked out the large window at the sprawling city. The sun had already risen, giving him a great view to start off the day.
Feeling good, he stretched, raising his arms to the ceiling, only to find that a second pair had wrapped around his bare chest, feeling his chiseled abs. A pair of large and soft breasts pressed against his back at the same time.
"Morning Kate," he said, not having to turn around to know who it was.
"Morning," Kate grumbled in reply. "I wanted to surprise you."
Kenny chuckled and turned around. "You'll have to do a bit better than that, I feel like I won't get surprised easily."
Giving her a kiss, he continued, "You should eat and get ready so we can get started. I want to learn about as much about this world as soon as possible."
Seeing that he was serious, Kate nodded and let go of him. "I'll get prepared then, just give me a few minutes."
Saying so, she left him to his own devices. Watching her go, Kenny turned back to the window. He was tempted to ask about the tv, but that might cause some issues. He was supposed to know how to operate things due to his chip, after all.
Kenny knew he had to be careful in the future. He was sure that before long he would have to do things that he didn't know how to do, such as using various high-tech devices, and at that point if he hadn't learned about them yet he would be stumped.
Although Kenny wanted to get stronger, not blowing his cover was more important at the moment.
He had no idea how Kate and Layla would react to him having all his memories of his past life, much less those of a different or even parallel world. It was possible that they wouldn't mind, but he wasn't willing to risk it.
While he was thinking, Kate returned, wearing a white bra and short shorts that didn't do much to cover her ass. Her purple hair was tied back in a simple bun, highlighting her flawless face. She was holding what looked like a touch-screen phone.
Kate handed the black-colored device to Kenny and sat down on the couch, motioning him to sit next to her. So he did.
"A phone?" Kenny asked, feeling the cold metal surface of the device. Being a little larger than his hand, the screen side of it was fully glass while the back was some kind of glossy metal with a symbol of the sun imprinted on it. The device didn't have any buttons either.
"That's right," Kate confirmed. "There's a lot I'll have to tell you about it and to use its most important functions you'll have to register with the Sol Association. Basically, the Association the governing force of this solar system and all intelligent beings have to be registered within its database. Usually, people automatically are at birth but this obviously won't be the case for you."
Rubbing her eyes, she appeared a little worried about this. "It should go well, as you don't have any identities with any organizations or worlds, but there never has been a case like yours. I'm sure they'll have many suspicions and there might be some issues."
Kenny nodded. "That makes sense. I basically appeared out of nowhere to them."
"Yes, and that's why we'll have to be extra careful when registering you. Tomorrow is a Saturday so Layla will be able to take you to the Association's building and act as your guarantor."
"So what will I be doing today?" he asked.
Kate leaned in closer to him, her arm brushing against his as she looked over his shoulder.
"I'll help you with basic knowledge today. For starters, you need to set up your phone."
Throughout the next hours, Kenny learned a great deal about the solar system and the universe as a whole. Kate taught him a lot on her own, and he was able to look anything else up that he wanted to know on his phone.
Prior to the system, the universe was chaotic and barbaric, with technology being lackluster and planetary travel non-existent. However, 629 million years ago, the system appeared and could be accessed by all conscious beings regardless of where they were.
The system caused many fundamental changes to the universe as a whole, but by far the largest was the Galaxy Games. These games created a competition between different galaxy's throughout the universe, ranking them on different statistics like wealth or size. Prizes like territory were given to those at the top, while those at the bottom got nothing.
However, what was by far the most important was power. A galaxy's strength decided nearly all its other rankings. Since the Game's conception, there has been an eternal struggle to the top.
"So what rank is our galaxy?" Kenny asked.
Kate smiled. "For a relatively small galaxy, we are doing pretty well. I believe our rank in the universe is somewhere around the 90 billion rank of roughly 100 billion."
"There are that many out there?" Kenny exclaimed; his eyes slightly widened.
Kate laughed. "The universe is a massive place. Besides, those are just galaxies that meet the minimum requirements to be ranked. There are countless other galaxies that aren't a part of the games."
From there, Kenny learned that not only where there rankings between galaxies, within every galaxy was a ranking for solar systems and planets. It didn't surprise him much, but their solar system was in the bottom ten percent of the four thousand-ish in the Solstela-4 galaxy.
Learning more about the universe, Kenny realized that he might not be in a different world at all but more of an alternate reality. He remembered that the Milky Way galaxy also had around four thousand solar systems in it from the random information he learnt while browsing his phone in his past life.
'So that means that this planet could be the same as Earth,' he thought. 'It's just the history that is completely different.'
History was not all he learned though. Kate briefed him about politics, top galaxies, abilities, and many other facets of life in this universe. Many aspects weren't so fundamentally different from Earth; laws, for example, were similar and just like in his old world, the most powerful people were able to ignore them.
He also learned about relationships. Turns out, those with talent basically only focused on their own fun and personal development. Things like marriage or having kids were something for people who had reached the end of their path and didn't participate any more in the games.
Thus, people like Kate and Layla, who were still young and ambitious, had no interest in settling down and having a family. In this world, power came first before anything.
Kenny couldn't help but smile at this. For someone like him, this was perfect.
It was the powerful people who were single. And who was he looking to take the stats of? The women who were the most powerful in the world, the galaxy, and the universe. All he needed was to have sex with them once.
He basically had no competition; it was just up to him to become as strong, and as attractive, as he could.
