When the guests left, Jason was eager to start asking questions about what had happened earlier, but because his father had said it's not a question for him to answer, he didn't know how he was going to approach him.
He dismissed Skye after asking her where she had been after she dropped him off and she came up with an excuse. He then told her to go home that he had something unrelated to work that he has to do.
After she left, Jason called on his mum, Rachel, Jayden and Kayla and told them they had something important to discuss.
They all met in the sitting room and sat down, looking at him pace around the sitting room.
"What's the problem Jason" Mrs Lewis asked him. He then stopped walking and stood transfixed, he thought for a while then finally opened his mouth to talk.
"Everyone, please what I want to hear is the truth. Enough of this keeping things from me, I need genuine answers to the questions I'm about to ask" Jason said to them.
"Okay, we'll try our best to provide you with the answers you need" Jayden said.
"Thanks" Jason said then found himself a sit, he sat down and faced them as they also fixed their eyes on him.
"So, here's the question. Who's Skye to me" He asked.
"Your ex girlfriend" They all replied him and he was shocked to hear the same answer from them.
"And she's not really your ex because you didn't break-up" Rachel added.
"Please is that true Jayden, you're my best friend, you should at least know everything about me" Jason said facing Jayden.
"Yes it true, You lost your memory of her when you got into an accident and we were told not to remind you because if you stress your brain too much you might not regain those memories" Jayden explained to him.
"That's why we've been trying to bring you and Skye together" Mrs Lewis said.
"Oh" Jason said supporting his chin with his hand, staring blankly at nothing in particular.
"Matthew has been looking for an excuse to cancel his marriage with Skye because of you, we've been doing everything we could to bring you two back" Jayden said.
"But why is it her" Jason asked Jayden.
"What do you mean" Jayden asked confused.
"This girl in question, if she was my ex girlfriend why don't I like her now" Jason asked him.
"Well..... That's for you to answer" Jayden replied.
"I'm still surprised though I still have more questions to ask, I'll go assimilate this first" Jason said and stood up to go to his room.
He laid in bed for hours trying to remember his relationship with Skye, He imagined himself being with her and acting like lovers but couldn't get his head to anything. What he ended up having was headache which made him angry and slept off after a while.
When he woke up, he called Skye and told her they had to talk. To Skye he had started regaining his memories, little did she knew that she was about to be questioned.
She got there minutes later excitedly and barged into Jason's room.
"Aaahh, What was that" Jason shouted looking at Skye who just barged in.
"Sorry I didn't knock, do you remember me now" Skye hurriedly said.
"No I don't, Miss Skye Adams, you should remember that you're just a Personal assistant, how could you just barge into your boss's room like that" Jason Yelled.
"I'm sorry sir, since you dismissed me from work, I thought what you called me for was something personal" She replied.
"Yes it is, but you should have knocked, I'm still your boss" He said then stood up from his bed and sat on the couch.
He then called Skye to sit next to him which she did.
He then took deep breaths before finally talking to her.
"You can't misunderstand this Okay, I just need to check something" He said to her. He took his arm and tried placing it over Skye's shoulder but felt awkward about this.
"I can do this" He said to himself taking deep breaths again, he closed his eyes and placed his arm on Skye's shoulder, he then drew her head closer and placed it on his shoulder.
After some while he removed his hand from her shoulder and drifted away from her saying "I'm not feeling anything".
"What were you checking" Skye asked.
"I heard you were once my girlfriend, I was just confirming if it's true but I couldn't feel anything" Jason replied her.
"Well, it's true" Skye said.
"Can you tell me how I became your boyfriend, because I don't know why you were once my girlfriend and suddenly I don't like you, it can't be that I don't like you because of the Accident right?" Jason asked.
"I also don't know why, but back then you were always running after me, begging me to be your girlfriend" Skye teased.
"That's enough, I don't want to hear anything again" Jason said and stood up again, ready to leave his room.
"Where are you going to Jace" Skye said emphasizing on the "Jace".
"Jace" Jason said also emphasizing on "Jace".
"Yes, I use to call you that when we were dating" Skye said to him.
"Oh. The nickname is good, but that was then, we're no longer dating, Thank you" He said then walked out.
Skye was happy and sad at the same time as she watched Jason leave, she was happy because she was a bit close to him for awhile, when her head was placed on his shoulder, She could hear his heart beating slowly and she was sad because it was just for a while.
"At least he's trying hard to remember me" She said then also walked out of his room.
She went into Jayden and Kayla's room and found jason there, Jason was surprised to see her there again and started questioning her about why she was following him around and Skye let him know she was only there to see her friend Kayla.
They continued arguing and didn't know when Jayden and Kayla left the room for the two of them.
