"Hand over the Necronomicon, and I will spare your life!"
A low chant echoed back and forth in Daniel's ear.
His eyes were glued to the container, but the mummy inside remained still, showing no signs of abnormality. Where was this voice coming from?
Confused, Daniel quickly approached the Abel and Allen brothers.
"Did you guys hear anything?"
Allen looked puzzled, "Hear what?"
The brothers looked at Daniel blankly, clearly not understanding what he meant.
It seemed they didn't hear anything.
Daniel suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, even disbelief.
Even if an alien suddenly appeared before him, he wouldn't feel this way.
Because that still falls within the realm of science, something understandable.
But what was happening now was bizarre and supernatural.
When confronted with the unknown, people tend to feel fear to varying degrees.
That's what Daniel was experiencing now.
