Once she was done, turning of the water and grabbing her purple fluffy towel that had her name on it in the centre on the side. Her granny, known as; her grandmother, had given it to her before she moved away to a different town, sometimes when its the holiday break, her grandmother visits to check on them..but it's not very often she does though.
As soon she dried herself off. She grabbed her undergarments and matching bra and slipping them on. Grabbing her skirt next and unzipping the zipper that is on the side of the skirt, putting her tan soft legs through them and zipping it up as it sat on her hips. It was a bit short; it reached a bit far up her thighs then the other skirts she is use to of wearing, but nevertheless. Placing on the white t-shirt, doing the buttons as she left the top button undone and while tucking in her shirt into her skirt. The blouse was over her arm as she brushed her hair down and left it to dry on its own.
Making her way out her bathroom, a knock was heard on her wooden door frame as she was putting on her shoes. "Yes, you can come in." She says a bit muffled as she bent down to tie up her shoe laces. A woman aged in her 30s; brown hair that is pinned up into a bun, as some hairs that were lose stuck out on either sides of her face. She had dark brown eyes, that looked glossy from not getting enough sleep, as she forced a small smile.
"I am off to work. I will see you around 8. Don't throw any parties while I am gone. Okay?." Her mother looked at her watch before glancing up at her daughter with the same smile as she turning on her heel and walking down the stairs with her daughter, following right after her. "No problem, I am not a big fan anyways. Plus, I don't have friends to throw a party anyway let alone be invited to one". She replied, walking towards the refrigerator to grab a bottle of water and an apple to eat on her way to school.
"That's my girl." Said her mother as she actually had a forceful smile on her face. "Alright, see you at 8. Love you." Her mother places a kiss on her cheek before walking out the door. "Love you too." She called after her before sighing in disappointment.
Her mother always works late to pay the rent, electricity, gas, and to put food on the table. She needs to have a break, but she doesn't. The same goes for her father, working to much and staying to late. But he left her mother to do it all by herself. What a foolish man, he was. Some days, she wishes she can get a job and help her out. But the only problem is...where?.
She grabbed her school bag that was hanging on the stool chair, opening it up to check if she had everything that she needed was in there. Books; check, pens and paper; check, recess and lunch; double check, what am I missing?. She looked up and saw the house keys hanging on the key hanger. Oh, that's what I am missing. She quickly grabbed the keys from the hanger and dropped them in the front pocket of her school back and walked towards the front door, locking it behind her.
Making her way down the stairs of her Mother's apartment, she saw a group of boys that had the same uniform as her. They must go to the same school. She slowed down her pace, waiting for the group to walk a bit ahead, so that she can walk on her own. Until she saw a girl who looked quite familiar, wrapping her hands around a boys arm and not taking notice of her presence. I knew it. It was her; best friend from childhood. Caroline felt a bit upset, that she hadn't noticed her yet, but shook it off and continued her walk to school.
Once she seen the large building of her school. She sighed, to tell herself that she knew, it was close. Coming up to the black gates with people walking in, she took a deep breathe and adjust her bag on her shoulder that seemed to slip off a bit and walked in. As she glanced around her surroundings seeing people in groups standing or seating on the grass chatting to their friends, boyfriends and even girlfriends.
She walked up a flight of stairs, nearly bumping into a couple people on her way as they came out from the inside of the building. She had already gotten her locker combination number on phone as she brought it up. Looking for her locker, she found it and placed her bag inside grabbing out her English book as she has it after Homeroom and a pen that had all different colours.
When someone slammed her locker, almost trapping her hand in the process. "I knew it was you." A familiar voice of her best friend from childhood; Isabel says with a grin. Caroline looked at her with a upset look on her face and rolled her eyes.
"Long time no see, Isabel." She spat out, a bit to harsh to her best friend. Isabel looked just a tad bit confused and sad about her best friends out bust, before responding to her.
"Why so mad?". Isabel frowned as she leaned up against the lockers. Caroline sighed heavily and smiled as she knew she couldn't say mad at her. They known each other, since forever.
"I am sorry, I just seen you walk with a couple of guys that I don't know and you didn't even notice me walk behind you guys. So, I was a bit upset. I guess." She says, placing her back against the lockers looking at her.
while Isabel started to feel guilty of not acknowledging her childhood best friend. Caroline's eyes shifted her attention away from her, as her eyes looked over her best friend's shoulder at seeing a black headed and handsome man leaning up against a wall, dressed in a white shirt that had sleeves rolled up to his elbows and black pants and white sneakers. That's odd, he wasn't standing there before. She thought, while the man looked up from the papers and feeling someone starring at him while he was reading his new schedule as his eyes locked on a pear of blue eyes.
Caroline blinked a few times, as he had caught her staring at him as she quickly looked away, "uh, Isabel, who is that man over there." She said pointing over to the man and not trying to be obvious. Isabel hummed in reply, turning her head towards the man as his head was now looking back down at his papers again. "Oh my, his quite a looker." Isabel stared at him dreamily.
"Isabel!." She whispered-yelled at her and rolled her eyes. "Who is he, anyways". The girls both stared at him, while Caroline floated her arms over her chest still leaning on the lockers. Isabel snapped out of her trance of thought suddenly wondering what she wants to do to the man if she was single right now.
"You are new and haven't heard, haven't you." Isabel frowned at her as Caroline brows raised as she shock her head eyes still on the man, "his the new teacher. His replacing Mrs. White in History and home room." She tells her best friend, as Caroline started to get a curios and suspicious with him. "He is one mysterious teacher that's all I can say." Added Isabel as the bell started ringing for home room to start.
"Mysterious, how?". Caroline asked looking at Isabel as her best friend shrugged. For some reason, Caroline had a nervous gut feeling as she was walking passed him and giving him a quick glance.
When she glanced at him though, his eyes had suddenly found there way, as they are already pinned on hers as he gave her a quick forceful smile and stood up from the wall that he was leaning on. She saw a quick flash of red as she passed him. What the heck?. She thought frowning as a shiver ran down her back that she felt from his eyes on her. Okay, I'll admit. He is quite gorgeous. She thought.
