At Beta classroom.
The classroom that is commonly known as the "second best class of the Academy" work on their studies like usual with pens written on their books and textbooks.
Currently, they are studying Magic Circles; its effects, and usage both combat and everyday life.
"And so in the case of your opponent knowing what you will use they will have an upper hand on you, along with adding more counterattacks to you as the battle goes on"
The teacher managed to end his explanation right on time as the bell rang signaling the end of class.
The students got up from their seat and began heading to do whatever they have next.
"Geez, magic this and magic that, how long do we have to study this anyway?" one student grumbled to his group of friend.
"Until we're done with the topic I guess, about 10 more pages?" answered another student.
"Oh, great....." his eyes then move towards an empty desk, an empty desk that has been like that for a few days now, its occupant is at they-know-where.
"What's wrong?" his classmate asked noticing his gaze on that particular table.
"Just thinking about magic is enough to ruin my mood, that's all. That woman seriously take the fun out of it after all"
"Oh, her...Right, I guess so"
The conversation about THAT person became the most talked among the entire Academy in just a few days after an announcement have been sent, though short it can basically be summarized as "The incident have been resolved and the true culprit is being searched right now, those that are involved have received their punishments".
And since no news about particular families losing their family members to exile or dropouts, that can only mean.
"Sooner or later she will come back, right?" asked the third student in the friend group.
"Yeah, that disgraceful of a mage" student #1 grumbled.
"Geez, stop it already, didn't the principal already prove her innocence?"
"Sure, and the moment she comes back we will be like "Hey, welcome back girl!", huh?"
"...." the two students look at their friend made a very cringe expression at an imaginary scenario with deadpan expression.
-_-
"Please, never say that again"
"Please"
"....", student #1 bowed down in shame.
The sound of the classroom door opened earning the attention of the three.
"Hello, is this Class Beta's Magic Studies class?" asked the student.
"Yeah, come in"
The student entered then looks around the room, unlike class Alpha who have an entire building for themselves, the other classes have to share the classrooms through rotation and class relocations schedule.
"So, are you the next class coming up?"
"Oh, no, I'm just here looking some materials from the teacher"
"Okay....But he already left though"
".....", the student looked around and noticed a pile of learning materials on the table, walking there and taking in the sight.
"It's that woman table"
"I see"
Another door of the classroom opened revealing a group of students.
"Hey, guys" the leader greeted them.
"Oh, hey"
The group headed toward Laura's table where the pile of study materials are placed.
The three watched the group of students look at the piles with mischeviousness before talking to them.
"What are you guys going to do this time?"
"Feed it to the monsters of course" the leader replied.
The group of students became well-known in just a few days since the incident as they are responsible for handling leftover materials on a certain desk everyday.
"Which dungeons are you guys going for?"
"Floor 1 obviously, got to show it to everyone out there"
"Sounds good, I'm sure a lot of people will talk about it tomorrow"
"Yeah, welp got work to do"
The two group then turned to the pile of paper on the table.
Where a certain student is putting them into a wooden trunk and as the student grabbed the next pile, the gaze of everyone landed on the hands touching it.
"...."
"....."
______________
"Ugh" groaned Irviel, feeling his body aching painfully.
After arriving to this worl--place for a few months now he still isn't used to the amazing things happening around him, the view, city, people and speaking of people.
"Hello, Mr.Goldwin" a pretty cute voice sounded in front of him as he turned his head back to face the front where a pretty cute girl is there waving at him.
"Oh, hello Ms.Goodwill" he greeted the indigo-haired girl.
"Training again?"
"Ah, yes, my master is keen on training me everyday"
"I see, you must be working hard"
"R-Right", for some reason Irviel felt his mouth curving into a smile just from her recognition alone.
"Are you still in pain?"
"Ah, ah...Yeah, I'm still not adept at healing magic yet"
"I understand, it took a while for me as well"
Florence Goodwill then extend her hand forward to his body close but not touching it before casting a healing spell.
As the spell takes effect his body began healing faster and the fatigue lessening.
"Thank you"
"mMph, no problem", Florence gave a gentle smile to Irviel making him feel strange again.
"Oh, right, what are you doing today?"
"Hmm, mostly study and working at my job today, then I probably have to buy groceries for my house tonight"
(So cute)
"Stop that dude!" someone shouted.
"Eh?" the two made the exact same reaction sound.
