Chapter 31 - Chapter Thirty-One: Killer-Bee I

-------------------------------------------------------

July 6th, Year 70, Takigakure Exam Control Room

"Yo! You guys took your sweet time! I've been waiting here for hours to kick your asses, you know?" said the black-haired Genin from Konoha.

As I watched the scene unfold, I couldn't help but be intrigued by the kid's demeanor. He seemed confident and displayed a level of prowess and intellect that belied his young age. However, a part of me couldn't shake the feeling that he might be hiding something, something dangerous.

Bee, that kid has some real talent, from what I have seen… But I have this inkling feeling that he is hiding something… some thing really dangerous… I can't quite put my tentacles on it.|| Hachibi's voice echoed in my mind with concern.

But I brushed it off, dismissing the notion that an 11-year-old Genin could be harboring any significant threats. So I reassured my partner with a playful rap, 'Worry not, my tentacled friend, I got your back, If he tries anything, I'll attack, no slack, My swords will skewer him, leave him in a daze, Killer B in the house, ain't no one gonna faze. Oh yeah!'

Returning my focus to the scene, I noticed that the black-haired kid's smile didn't quite reach his eyes, and he exuded an eerie aura. My senses tingled, telling me that something was off.

See, I told you that brat is hiding something…|| Hachibi interjected again, but I chose to ignore him for the moment and continued watching.

The Iwa Genin were clearly irritated and threw out threats at the Konoha Genin. One of them shouted, "Move now, Tree hugger! Before you find yourselves in a world of hurt!" while the others looked wary.

In response, the black-haired kid calmly spoke, "I will give you 10 seconds to prepare, after that I am attacking. Worry not, I will not kill you… but I will advise you all to give up being a Ninja after today." His disinterested gaze sent chills down my spine, and I couldn't help but wonder what he had in store for the Iwa Genin.

I looked at their instructor, a Sarutobi who had been unknown for too long. Most probably an ANBU operative, but which one exactly? That was the question lingering in my mind. Nevertheless, I decided to inquire about the mysterious kid from Konoha.

"Yo, Konoha man, what's up with your kid, talkin' smack like he's got a lid, can he walk the walk or talk the talk, or will he tremble, scared to even balk? Konoyaro, Bakayaro," I rapped playfully, hoping to get some information.

The Jonin glanced at me for a few seconds before choosing to ignore my question. I felt an urge to hit him, but I resisted the temptation. Instead, I turned to Yugito Nii, who stood beside me, and directed a questioning look her way.

She understood my gaze and spoke softly, "We think… he might actually be hiding something… He gives off the smell of a… predator. That's what she said…"

I didn't need to ask who "she" referred to. Yugito meant the Two-Tails, Matatabi. Both of the Bijuu sensed something peculiar about the Konoha Genin, and their instincts were rarely wrong.

So both of the Bijuu thinks that something wild is going on with the kid, huh? Lets see what he got…

A smirk, eagerly anticipating the unfolding events. There was definitely more to this young Genin than met the eye, and I intended to find out.

The Iwa Genin were fuming with rage after hearing the black-haired kid's provocation. The leader of the Iwa team seemed to have reached the limit of his patience as he cursed, "That's it, you stupid tree hugger! I will send you to your grave!"

He swiftly began forming hand seals, intending to attack, while the black-haired kid remained unperturbed and started counting. The tension in the air was palpable as everyone waited to see what would unfold next.

"1, 2, 3."

By the count of 3, the black-haired boy took a side step as an earth spike formed from below, easily evading it while continuing his count,

"4, 5."

The Iwa Genin were not having any of it, as they quickly surrounded the boy and started throwing their kunai while the first genin continued making earth spikes, which the black-haired boy dodged with laughable ease. And he never stopped counting his numbers.

"6,7, 8."

The Iwa genins were getting angrier and angrier at the sound of counting, so they increased the intensity of their attacks. But to no avail, as the black-haired kid was a maestro of movement.

"9, 10!" The black-haired boy's voice boomed as he finished his countdown. Suddenly, the air around him seemed to shift, and he drew a sword, attacking with it swiftly dispersing the incoming kunai and earth spikes effortlessly.

"What the hell?!" one of the Iwa Genin exclaimed, taken aback by the sudden burst of power and the mastery over the sword.

The black-haired boy finally dropped his eerie smile, his eyes narrowing with intensity. "You had your chance. Now it's my turn."

In an instant, he moved with incredible speed, launching himself towards the Iwa Genin with astounding agility. His movements were fluid and precise, like a seasoned dancer, weaving through their attacks effortlessly.

"What is this kid?!" one of the Iwa Genin shouted, struggling to keep up with the black-haired boy's speed.

"I told you that you would get your asses kicked, but you didn't listen," the boy taunted, his voice now laced with a hint of mocking. "You should've run away the moment you saw me."

With each strike, the boy seemed to gain momentum, and the Iwa Genin found themselves on the defensive, struggling to guard against his swift and precise sword strikes. It was only the black-haired boy's sarcasm that kept them from being cut up already.

He is playing with them… This kid's sword mastery is reaching your students' level.|| said Hachibi in astonishment.

I nodded, my eyes still fixed on the scene unfolding before us. There was something unnerving about the boy's ease with the sword, as if it was an extension of himself. He might very well be reaching my level... This was concerning.

"Enough of this!" the lead Iwa Genin roared, channeling chakra into his fists. He lunged at the boy, hoping to overpower him with raw strength.

I couldn't help but think, 'That was a stupid move, bakayaro... Strength against a swordsman?'

As expected, the black-haired boy effortlessly dodged the attack, not even bothering to contest it. He sidestepped with grace, then delivered a powerful kick to the Iwa Genin's abdomen, sending him flying several feet away.

The other two Iwa Genin looked at each other, fear etched on their faces. They had never encountered someone like this before—someone younger than them and yet so strong that it was beyond their imagination.

Even the Jonin watching couldn't believe the skills of the kid.

The boy turned his attention to them, his gaze now colder than ever. "You're next."

Before they could react, he unleashed a barrage of strikes, moving like a whirlwind. Within seconds, both Iwa Genin lay defeated on the ground, unable to continue the fight. They groaned in pain, several cuts on their bodies, and it seemed that some bones were broken from the earlier barrage of attacks.

The black-haired kid then proceeded to rob the defeated Iwa Genin of all their belongings, including the mushrooms they had gathered. He tossed their unconscious bodies unceremoniously to the side where their other teammate lay.

He turned to his own teammates and casually said, "Try to keep the alive, although I didn't do anything lethal." His words held a sense of detachment and indifference. His teammates said nothing and simply complied with his order.

It was a display of power, not just towards the defeated Genin, but for everyone watching. That kid was undeniably intimidating.

I glanced at the other Jonin and noticed their serious expressions. The Iwa Jonin, in particular, looked furious at what had happened to their comrades.

But before they could protest, the Konoha Jonin shrugged and spoke with a devious smirk, "As the good men from Taki explained at the start, there are no rules for this exam."

A chill ran down my spine, and I could sense that everyone else felt it too. It seemed like the Konoha Ninjas were up to something, and it wasn't something to be taken lightly.

The Konoha Ninjas aren't trying what I think they are trying, are they?|| Hachibi asked with surprise in his voice.

I didn't respond immediately because I had a strong feeling that it was exactly what they were trying to do...

The same event repeated itself four more times as different teams from Suna, Iwa, and my own village exited the caverns, only to fall victim to the black-haired menace. Each time, he effortlessly defeated the entire teams on his own, relying solely on his incredible speed and Kenjutsu skills. It was beyond belief that such a young Genin could possess such power and prowess.

The monitoring room fell into an uneasy silence as everyone processed what they had just witnessed. No one could fathom how an 11-year-old could take down five teams of Genin with such ease, without even breaking a sweat. It was a display of strength that left everyone shaken.

"This is ridiculous..." muttered one of the Iwa Jonin.

"Can this even be allowed?" questioned another.

Even Yugito appeared disturbed, "He's just a Genin, right? And we sent..." She spoke in a muffled tone.

I stopped Yugito from finishing her sentence. We both knew that these were not ordinary Genin sent by our villages. They were ringers, handpicked to represent us at the exams. But to see them effortlessly defeated by a single 11-year-old was disheartening.

First, there was the Uchiha kid, and now this unknown child-monster from Konoha. It seemed like Konoha was sending a clear message to the world, warning anyone with malicious intentions. This could cause trouble for the entire alliance of villages.

I spoke to Hachibi in a somber tone, 'Yo, we got a situation here, hold tight, this kid's thrashin' with all his might. Lightning, earth, even sand, he's a force, you understand.

Gonna be trouble, mark my words, if he ain't steered, it'll be absurd. Konoyaro, bakayaro, we can't ignore, this kid's power, we must explore.'

Hachibi agreed with my assessment, ||Indeed... After all those 'battles,' I noticed something peculiar. The kid hasn't used a single Jutsu, and he's supposed to be from the shadowmancer clan, right? You told me they mainly use their shadows to fight, but he hasn't utilized a single such jutsu. We might have to take care of him before he grows stronger...||

I nodded grimly, knowing that Hachibi was right. We couldn't let this child-monster roam free, especially if he possessed powers beyond our understanding. The situation needed to be handled with utmost caution.

Five minutes before the exam was supposed to end, the black-haired kid had all the other Genin from different villages bound and gagged, ensuring that no other team could come out of the cavern anytime soon. He seemed indifferent to the situation, calling his team to leave, "Welp, our work here is done. Let's go finish the exam."

His teammates said nothing, silently complying with his orders as they swiftly made their way up the great waterfall with astonishing ease, reaching the camp where the control room was situated.

The atmosphere in the control room was tense as all the Jonin and Taki invigilators remained silent, taken aback by the audacity and ruthlessness of the Konoha Genin. The black-haired kid spoke with a smile that didn't reach his eyes, "Well... I guess that's the end of the exams."

Everyone could only stare at him with deadpan expressions, unsure of how to react to the chaos he had caused.

I exchanged a glance with Yugito, who was glaring at the black-haired kid with a mix of anger and suspicion. She spoke softly, "He feels dangerous... even more so up close."

The kitten speaks the truth... There's something queer about him... Something sinister about his Chakra...|| Hachibi added.

I nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of foreboding about the boy. There was definitely more to him than meets the eye.

In a serious tone, I addressed the others, "We need to take care of him before he grows up."

The potential danger he posed had to be dealt with before it escalated any further. The room fell into a unanimous agreement, although unknown to each other, that action had to be taken against this enigmatic and powerful Genin from Konoha.
