"One of the elders from the Uranashi Clan made a prediction about the rise of a new powerful king, and what's intriguing is that this king isn't even a vampire."
The Uranashi Clan's predictions have had a history of coming true, but not always. This is because the future is not set in stone; it is constantly changing.
The future is inherently uncertain and can be influenced by various factors such as one's actions, advancements, natural events, and societal changes. While we can make predictions and forecasts based on current information and trends, unexpected events and new information can arise, altering the course of the future.
A fixed future assumes a deterministic viewpoint, in which the outcome is predetermined and unavoidable. However, the reality is far more complex and dynamic. The future is shaped by a multitude of variables and possibilities, constantly evolving.
From a supernatural perspective, the concept of the future can be seen as fluid and ever-changing. In various belief systems and mythological traditions, the future is often considered to be influenced by supernatural forces such as fate, destiny, or divine intervention.
"In the realm of the supernatural, the future is like a canvas awaiting the brushstrokes of our choices, and we are the artists who co-create our destinies." - God of Time, Chronos.
That is one of the reasons why Jin and Anos didn't jump to conclusions right away. They were hesitant to take risks, knowing that there would always be uncertainties.
They decided that before taking any action, they should bring this vampire to the Mage King and the elders. It seemed to be the best course of action given the involvement of the Uranashi Clan.

[Location: Western part of the Dark Forest]
"Thank goodness nobody followed me." As I turned around, there was no one in sight, no one trailing behind.
These heroes, I tell you, they can be quite persistent. I wanted to venture into the dark forest to hunt some beasts and level up, but I was held hostage at home due to a lockdown. I had been waiting for the lockdown to be lifted, hoping for the opportunity to strike.
So, taking advantage of the chaos caused by the Killer, I managed to slip away from home.
I didn't have any grand plans of catching the killer or anything like that, contrary to what I made my mother believe. I simply sought personal growth. It was driving me crazy not knowing what was happening around me, or to me. I just wanted control over my own life. But now, I'm becoming paranoid about everything, especially the Dragon King and this system.
Something about this current situation seems suspicious.
I soon arrived at the entrance of the Dark Forest and noticed a metal fence. On the other side of the fence lay a wild array of magical beasts.
I swiftly scaled the fence, jumping over it with ease.
I ventured deep into the forest, where the darkness and silence made me yearn for the comfort of home and sleep. But I pressed on, knowing that this was a golden opportunity to level up and experiment with my abilities.
I was curious to see what would happen if I devoured a beast, whether dead or alive, or even plants. It just seemed like an intriguing prospect, capturing my interest.
What do you think will happen?
"System."

"That looks good, but I should learn some elemental spells. Having a diverse arsenal is always a good idea." Aside from my proficiency in swordsmanship, in which I am confident enough to defeat anyone in my realm, my stats and skills are only marginally better than an average hero of the same realm.
Ahm? It seems that my Origin Core cultivation is included in the stats section.
Typically, heroes cultivate their stats in Strength, Agility, Speed, Spirit, Stamina, and Heroic Energy by using Mana.
Meanwhile, mages cultivate their Origin Core to prolong their lifespan and increase their Mana capacity. Since each spell requires a specific amount of Mana, which can vary greatly, it all depends on the spell itself.
How is it then that a cultivator who cultivates Mana is unable to use it?
This is a commonly asked question.
The answer is quite simple. A hero's body is incapable of storing Mana, but they can convert it into another form of energy known as "Heroic Energy" through cultivation.
This Heroic Energy is unique to heroes, and they can channel it in various ways, such as through their swords.
It's just basic physics. Energy can be converted from one form to another.
Mana is exclusive to mages. This leads to another question. Will my Origin Core, along with my other stats, grow as I level up?
I was skeptical because the system claimed that it would enable me to reach the Great Sage World. However, mages do not have a realm like that. Instead, they classify their abilities using different rankings, from the first to the eleventh circle. By the way, I am a first-circle Mage. I know, it's not something to be proud of.
After a few minutes of walking, I spotted some nocturnal creatures roaming around.
I noticed a large, dark brown beast with stubby legs and two horn-like structures on its head, a little distance away from its herd. It resembled an Earth Rhino from Earth.
"An Earth Rhino, huh?"
They were physically strong and aggressive, but slow in their reactions. If provoked, they would relentlessly pursue their target until they crushed it.
Taking advantage of the beast's behavior, I provoked it by throwing a rock at it. This particular beast had the strength of an S-rank cultivator. It posed no real threat to me.
The beast charged at me, aiming to impale me with its horns and take my life.
"I'm sorry, buddy." I approached the beast using my epic realm speed and my skill.
I swiftly moved towards the beast, clumsily holding my Admantine sword without much form, and stabbed it in the neck. Pulling the sword upwards, I arced it and cleaved through the beast.
With its natural vocalization, the wounded beast let out a pained cry, signaling its fading life and the agony of its injuries.
It came to a halt with one final shriek, leaving behind its companions.
Ding!
As I heard the notification, a surge of mana flowed into my body. I could feel my strength increasing, my legs becoming sturdier, and my mind growing clearer.
"So this is what leveling up feels like." It's a similar sensation to cultivating, but more intense. I couldn't savor the feeling for too long because I remembered that I still knew nothing about the system or my encounter with the Dragon King.
"I need to reach level 100 quickly." That is the only way to unlock the locked information about the system and its origins.
[Stats:
Strength: 50 --> 51
Agility: 50 --> 51
Spirit: 50 --> 51
Stamina: 50 --> 51
Heroic Energy: 50 (5000) --> 51 (5100)
Origin Mana: 3 (300)
Stat Points: 1]
"The system, as I suspected, can only assist with Mana cultivation." I won't say I'm disappointed, maybe just a little underwhelmed.
"A single point increase in my stats makes a significant difference." It's fascinating to feel the growing strength in my arms and legs. My strength a moment ago was lesser than it is now.
I wondered how many points a normal human would have on the system's stat scale, considering that heroes start with the strength of a regular human.
The system responded in its emotionless voice.
"Please explain in more detail." I inquired aloud.
"That means that if I had the same strength as a normal human at the beginning, my stats would have shown five points in each attribute. Then, as I progressed from F to S cultivation, my stats should have reached forty. It only came to life after I passed through the Epic Realm."
I sighed as I looked at the unfortunate beast. I paused for a moment before deciding to utilize my power on the lifeless body of the beast. Slowly, I raised my hands towards the beast's corpse.
"Devour."
A swirling vortex of blood enveloped the entire carcass, swallowing it whole.
Now, I have two choices. 1. I can enhance my cultivation as well as my physique. 2. I can acquire a new elemental affinity while also improving my physique.
I know exactly what I want.
In my sea of consciousness, just like the other elemental cores, a brown-colored elemental core materialized between the fire and water elemental cores, while the origin core floated at the center.
*Ding!*
