Jonas was so tired after looking for Chloe, but also angry that she didn't tell him where she went, or at least tell him herself that she will be gone for those fourteen days.
Meanwhile, Chloe arrived at the address that her mom wrote on the note. It was in a small village, which was surrounded by mountains, so hidden that no one could find it without a proper map.
She was exhausted from her three days journey, she didn't rest much, just two times, being so determined to find the answers to all the questions that were crossing her mind.
Hungry, thirsty, she could barely knock at the door of a small white house surrounded by many white roses.
A young man opened the door and invited her inside, saying to her that they were expecting her.
Chloe was too exhausted to ask any questions at the moment, all that she wanted was some food and fresh water, which was offered to her as soon as she sat at the table.
She ate like a hungry wolf, not caring about the way she looked while doing it. The young man was smiling as watching Chloe eating like that.
After she was full, Chloe excused herself and thanked the young man for his hospitality. He introduced himself as Paul, the grandson of the one that she was supposed to meet, his grandma Olivia.
Olivia was a powerful witch, who had many secrets, that she never wanted to share with someone else, but she did share a few with Chloe’s mom, Agatha.
Chloe was anxious to see Olivia, so she asked Paul where could she find her. Paul told Chloe to get a bit of sleep, with the promise that when she would open her eyes, his grandma would be next to her ready to help Chloe.
Chloe didn't have a choice, but to listen to him, so she followed him to a bedroom where she sat on the bed and quickly fell asleep.
When she woke up, she was so rested, like she had been sleeping for an entire year. Olivia smiled when she saw Chloe waking up, and told her how glad she was that Chloe has now gathered her full strength.
Olivia introduced herself to Chloe, and then she left the kitchen to prepare a special herbal tea, letting Chloe know that she would wait for her there.
Chloe went straight to the shower, as she desperately needed one, after sleeping in the same clothes that she wore for three days.
When she got out, Paul was putting some clothes on the bed.
“-Oh, I am so sorry, I didn't know you will be out so soon. Paul said ashamed while covering his eyes.
-It is ok, thank you for the clothes.” Chloe said to him, Paul then left the room.
Paul was so hot, Chloe was wondering if he also practices magic, but didn't dare to ask, she wouldn't want to be too nosy.
She got dressed, then went to find Olivia, who gave her a cup of the tea she just made. Chloe thanked her, slowly sipping from the tea, having a wonderful smell of cinnamon, while the taste was a bit bitter. Olivia noticed that Chloe didn't like the tea too much so she asked Paul to bring them some cookies, to help with the tea.
After Chloe drank the whole cup of tea, she started to get a bit dizzy, suspecting that Olivia might have poisoned her. Olivia noticed that and she made Chloe aware, that what was so special about the tea, was that it could tell her what was going on with the creature that would be drinking it.
Chloe was extremely curious, asking Olivia what did it mean if she got dizzy from drinking it, and Olivia told her to relax, as the tea’s effect was not yet complete.
Soon, Chloe’s eyes turned pink, her skin turned purple, and she was surrounded by black steam.
Chloe didn’t realize what was happening, only when she saw Paul getting scared, she knew something was wrong.
Olivia got her hands in the air and mumbled something and Chloe was back to normal in a second.
Olivia took Chloe’s hands, looked her in the eyes, and told her that she must win the war that was happening inside of her, and stay as a regular woman, otherwise darkness would get the hold of her.
Chloe was scared, as she didn't know if she could still fight against her own nature because that is what she would feel about it, that she should give in to whatever lays inside of her.
She decided to share every feeling and belief that she had with Olivia, so she could advise her best.
“-If it is true, that your intuition tells you that you should give in, then you should do it. But be warned, if you do it, there is no turning back. You will have control over people’s souls, a huge responsibility, and you will have to learn and control the great power that will come with your transformation. Do you think you can handle it? Olivia said.
-I…am not sure…Not alone, but with time and help, I believe I can do it…Chloe replied.
-If you are not sure, then take my advice and wait for a while.” Olivia advised Chloe.
Olivia got up from the chair, and went to her small library, from where she took a book, opened it, read a spell, then cast it over Chloe.
When Chloe asked about it, Olivia replied to her, that she cast a spell on her to slow down her process of turning, so she wouldn’t have to fight so hard against it, at least for a while.
Chloe asked Olivia why her mom said that she would be gone for fourteen days if it would take her three days here and three days back home.
Olivia thought for a few seconds and then realized that Agatha, sent her a hidden message through Chloe’s words, to put her under a special ritual, that would reveal more about Chloe.
Then she explained to Chloe that she should stay there for a few more days, to enjoy the wonderful views, and the fresh air, and to meet friends of Paul.
Chloe agreed as she needed to stay away from Jonas for a little while, even though she would be missing him like crazy.
