Chapter 77 - Sparring

Marilyn's face fell with sadness when she learned that Jake had a new girlfriend. She sighed, feeling a mix of disappointment and heartache. Her eyes reflected a sense of longing, as if she had hoped Jake would choose her alone. The room suddenly seemed quieter, and the subtle scent of her favorite flowers in the vase nearby went unnoticed as her mind processed the news. Marilyn's eyes darkened as she stared at him, her voice carrying a hint of possessiveness as she said, "Don't misunderstand. Only this time. The next time you have another girlfriend, I will kill you and then kill myself."

Jake took a deep breath and responded, "I'll keep that in mind. By the way, how have you been? I heard you've been putting in a lot of effort in your training."

Marilyn sighed, rising from the bed. She strolled to the window and gazed outside. "There's no way I can't beat that Namgoong kid, right?"
