As a white aura enveloped Jake, rendering him unconscious, the spirit of Qiu'er lingered above him. Lilith approached Qiu'er's ethereal form, asking, "Is that you, Qiu'er?"
Qiu'er nodded and smiled at Lilith. "Aunt, I believe I've broken free from the fox."
Lilith, wearing a guilty expression, responded, "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you."
Qiu'er shook her head, pointing to the fox ears on her head. "Look at my features. The fox is gone, but I've inherited her power. I can revive myself, but it comes at a cost."
Lilith inquired, "Is there anything I can do to help?"
"Perhaps you can explain to Jake when the time comes because it seems I must erase my memory to revive."
Understanding, Lilith said, "Aunt understands. I'll raise you as my own daughter, so you won't be alone, and you can rekindle your relationship with Jake."
