Jake gently caressed Reina, who was peacefully sleeping on his lap. Beside him, Koko leaned comfortably against his side. Jake's mind started to wander, troubled by something. After some contemplation, he decided to confide in Koko.
"Hey, Koko, have you ever been disappointed in me?" Jake asked with a hint of concern.
Koko, perched on Jake's shoulder, looked at him with a reassuring expression. "You're a great master, Jake. What makes you ask that?"
Jake shook his head, a soft smile forming on his lips. "You once mentioned that you chose me because of my good karma, but I can't help but wonder if my karma is truly that good, given all that I've done."
Koko patted Jake's head gently. "You still carry good karma with you."
Jake furrowed his brow in curiosity. "How can you be so sure?"
