Jake chose someone from class B called Amelia Sweeter. Her talent was [Fire Magic Affinity], so he let her choose one of three fire spell models. She chose an offensive spell called [Fireball].
After that, Jake excused himself to visit the infirmary. He almost emptied all the mana in his body after using [Heavenly Access] twice.
As he arrived at the infirmary, he threw himself to the bed and put on a blissful expression. He felt tired for sure, but when someone felt tired, they could truly appreciate their resting time.
Of course, the school nurse didn't understand his feelings and looked at him with a dumbfounded expression. "Are you sure you are sick, Mr. Butler? If you are using this excuse to skip the class, I can deduct your points."
Jake looked at the middle-aged nurse with a confident expression. "You can examine me." He let her check his condition calmly. When the examination was over, he put on a smug expression. "One order of special stamina recovery parfait please."
"At this point, the academy's medical budget will be spent on you," the school nurse said. She didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
As the nurse left to concoct the special medicine, Jake waited eagerly. In the academy, students could enjoy a special medicine called stamina recovery parfait. The shape and the taste were like any other parfait, but it had zero calories, and it could instantly recover mana fatigue and stamina. The taste and the effect were good; it became Jake's most favorite dessert. However, only injured students could enjoy this treatment, so he was glad he actually had mana fatigue.
After a while, the nurse served the special parfait for him, and Jake enjoyed it in gusto. While he was eating, he looked around, but he couldn't find Marilyn. He thought he could find her in this place. He was slightly disappointed that he couldn't enjoy a moment between her.
"But where did that girl go?" Jake pondered.
---
Marilyn entered her room and locked the door. No light could penetrate the room as she closed the curtains of the windows, and the air conditioner rune on the wall was set to the highest setting, making the room cold. If someone stepped into this room, they would literally feel the chill and thought 'how could someone live in a cold, dark room?' yet the princess did. The cold temperature felt refreshing for her, and her eyes were kind of special, allowing her to see normally even with closed eyes.
Marilyn took off the blindfold, her eyes glowing in the dark. She approached the dresser and changed to a thin nightdress.
After changing to a comfortable outfit, she threw herself on the soft mattress and buried her face on the fluffy pillow. She was quiet for a moment before suddenly kicking the bed repeatedly in excitement.
Marilyn turned around and looked at the dark ceiling with an excited expression. Happy. Heart racing. Excited. She had been holding these feelings in her heart. The main cause of this was none other than Jake.
Jake. Jake. Jake....
She couldn't get this person out of her mind, especially after he helped her again and did a cool thing.
'Let me handle this.'
'I don't want you to commit violence in front of my eyes.'
'I won't let you become a monster.'
His words literally echoed in her mind. Thanks to her [Magic Eyes], she had good memories. Even if she wanted to forget something, it was a hard task. Marilyn especially couldn't forget all Jake's cool scenes. From her childhood until the last time she saw Jake. It was his fault for being too cool.
As her mind was in a mess after recalling all the good things Jake had said today, her hand crawled down her navel. She let out a moan as she recalled the sense of touch when Jake carried her in his arms.
Even with her blindfold, Marilyn could see normally. When Jake had carried her, she had secretly taken a good look at his developed body. She had been liking him since she was a kid, but recently, she developed interest in his body. The right packs on his stomach. The aesthetic oblique muscles on his waist. Even when Jake was wearing clothes, his shoulder muscles were bulging, and his wide chest was apparent. She thought she was fine with the idea of Jake's company alone, but her body felt hot when she thought of Jake's body.
Marilyn couldn't help but feel ashamed of herself. She thought her love was not pure anymore, but she just couldn't stop the feelings, and her fingers didn't stop either.
"J-Jake—" Marilyn uttered a weak, defeated moan.
As her feelings were overflowing, and her sweats and other liquids were falling to the bed, countless orange eyes appeared on the walls, on the ceiling, on the floor, and everywhere in the room. These eyes had ellipse pupils akin to that of animals. Moreover, Marilyn currently had the same eyes as them.
As the mysterious eyes darted around in a chaotic manner, black smoke spread in the room. Inside the black smoke, a thin figure appeared. It had many long, thin limbs, and all of them twisted in a disturbing manner. It had a triangle-shaped head, and many orange eyes spread all over its face.
The creature stood behind Marilyn and laughed at her, but she didn't notice the creature's presence, nor did she notice the black smoke around her.

The next day, nothing extraordinary happened yet. Jake just gave strengthening manuals to classmates who were attending the magic class. After that, Mr. Fang gave him the promised legacy potions.
Jake didn't plan to level up yet before he trained his [Overcome] ability. There was no way he would waste the level up's low rejuvenation effect.
Regrettably, there was no schedule for the ability research class today, making Jake sad. He somehow missed Mr. Graham's face. Looking at the person who had [Shadow Clones] ability was his hobby. Whenever Mr. Graham was around, Jake always imagined himself having the cloning ability. Sadly, he couldn't meet that middle-aged man.
"I have decided. I will copy Mr. Graham's cloning ability when I reach level 10!" Jake exclaimed as he walked on the public road, making people look at him weirdly.
Jake suddenly felt embarrassed. He hid his feelings by maintaining his cool composure, and then he walked away.
Currently, Jake was on the way to the herbology class in the academy's greenhouse. This mandatory class was unpopular because combatants didn't have time to attend this class. The reason Jake attended this class was because the teacher sometimes gave an amazing student a rare magical herb for free, and he often gave discount coupons for buying herbs in pharmacy stores.
Jake was confident with his herb knowledge because his father was from the renowned Tang family. The Tang family was experts in hidden weapons mastery and assassination, but they were more known as poison masters.
When Jake was ten years old, he used to be the martial instructor in the Tang family, and he had learned many things about poisons and herbs.
'I won't underestimate the aspiring alchemists in this continent, but the Tang family is one of the biggest nobles in the Peridot Continent. Only renowned alchemist families in this continent can be comparable to the Tang family in terms of herbology,' Jake thought.
As he walked confidently, Jake saw a commotion on the street. He would usually ignore it, but he spotted Reina among the crowds. The usual stoic girl was having a worried expression, making him wonder if the commotion was related to his classmates.
Jake approached her and tapped her shoulder, attracting her attention. "What is happening?" he asked.
Reina widened her eyes when she saw Jake. She pulled him, but Jake didn't move from his spot. Finally, she urged, "You must run, Butler."
Jake was confused by her behavior. What scared her so much she urged him to run? They were inside the academy, one of the safest places in the entire empire. He ignored her warning and broke through the crowd.
"No, Butler. You won't be safe," Reina warned, but it was too late. Jake had broken through the crowd and reached the front row.
At the center of the crowd, two male students were holding Misael's arms, while another student was punching Misael.
"Huh, really? Does Misael cause a problem again?" Jake shook his head. "No, something is wrong." He thought. While Misael was a violent person, he wasn't the type to break his promise, and the guy promised him to not commit violence. Secondly, Misael wasn't the type to let himself be someone's punching back. He saw the glassed guy's retaliation, but the two male students could hold him easily.
"The gap between levels, huh. These people are seniors! But why are they bullying Misael? Uh, maybe Misael is in the wrong."
Jake wanted to figure out the situation, so he turned around and looked for Reina, but the girl was nowhere in his sight. "Did she escape? No, Reina is not a coward, so she must be reporting this to the teachers! Then, I have to stall for time until they arrive!"
Jake rushed into the center of the crowd without hesitation. He placed himself before the third senior before he could land a punch on Misael. "Wait, senior. Please stop this. I will apologize for whatever Misael has done to offend you."
Misael had been quiet as he was enduring the pain. However, when Jake accused him of doing something bad, he opened his mouth and denied, "J-Jake, you bastard. I haven't done anything wrong this time!"
"Oh, my bad. Then why are they doing this to you?" Jake looked at the seniors, waiting for their explanation.
The third senior pointed at Jake's face and asked, "You! Why are your eyes black?"
Hearing his wary voice, Jake could immediately connect what happened. His black eyes. Misael. Misael's [Demonic Transformation]. "Ah, I see." These seniors were bullying Misael because he had a demon-like ability. In other words, these seniors were anti-demon. "I am in trouble."
